Jesus Navas - 2016/17 performances

He didn't play 105 games yesterday, he played 1 and it was a decent one. He created plenty of chances and, other than hitting the post from a tight angle, the misses were down to other players.

He's been used to give Sterling a well needed rest and did well. We'd struggle to find another player of the same ability who is content being used mainly for rotation.

A replacement in the summer wouldn't be a bad idea but it's pretty low down on our list of priorities in my opinion.
This all day. It is fascinating how we all see things differently. His crossing yesterday was great, which others failed to capitalise on, he won multiple corners, which we failed to do anything with and his work rate is phenomenal. He gets us out of trouble so many times by taking the ball across the pitch when we're stuck for options, this is a really good trait. Ultimately I've concluded that it depends what you think about a player as to how you actually see him play, not how he really plays.

I agree, he's a perfect squad player & causes no trouble. I would add we don't need to find a replacement in the summer, as we already have plenty (Zinchenko, Moreno, Roberts, Sane) - so I wouldn't be surprised to see the back of him either way, but certainly when he leaves he'll not be leaving in my bad books.

Useful option to have for the year, but never going to be our main attacking threat, just helps create space for the more creative players in the side & helps out his fullback.

ffs. so he`s the best sideways player we have. we could get the goals moved to the side of the pitch and he`d be a world beater, until the defenders realised some fucker had shifted the goals.

nobody that i know questions his work rate. one on one with the goalie he is worse than dire. he cant dribble, he hits the first man more than not,

As I said, it's fascinating how we all see things differently. I see his assets, you see his failings
It's all a matter of opinion.

Sets up the crucial goal against Barcelona, puts it on a plate for Aguero to seal the win yesterday and covered the cross for their equaliser. Oh wait. KDB was lumbering instead.

Fabulous player. Great first touch, never gives it away. Gives width, balance, energy. Covers his full-back, carries the ball in transition, never moans, World Cup winner.

I thought he played well yesterday up to a point and that point again is his final ball and delivery.

For me a great squad player and impact sub but he is not good enough to be starting games on a regular basis.

The 2016 version dosnt mate ,even hit the post yesterday

Taking him off and so giving them acres of space for the crosser to get the ball and cross it was our undoing, his deliveries are ok now,it's the others not finishing them that's the problem.taking him off when we just needed to keep the ball and defend was a major fuck up from pep,he really surprised me with that one

He was excellent yesterday. Had Raheem or Sane had that performance people would be raving about them.

Unfortunately for him his cards were marked during Pellers reign and he's not worthy of a second chance that has been given to other players apparently.
