Jesus Navas (continued)

Re: Navas

Got a bit nervous when he seem to pull up and hop around for a while, think it was near the beginning of the second half. Must have shaken it off, whatever it was. Probably a few molecules of air that had dared not to move out of his way.

Just rolled his ankle AG i think.

Just wanted to note he is a top player not just for his speed, how many dainty speed merchants will dig in and get back and tackle ?
Exactly, not fucking many and he does.
I think he is a wonderful player who has suprised me with his determination to get stuck in as well as attack, brilliant.

Re: Navas

He is one of the players that have been missing for a few seasons now. When these teams turn up and park the bus he can open them up when he's one of the people who can open them up with his pace and crosses. Will be good to see him getting more game time whilst Nasri is out.

Re: Navas

I can't see us going for Navas, apart from the chronic homesickness his sort of out pace the full back type of winger is only going to decline. Maybe if he was 20-24 but not at 27.

I am officially a know nowt FIFA playing ****.

Re: Navas

Love seeing City breaking with Navas on the ball, and Negredo on the charge positioning himself for the cross. Equally it must terrify defenders.

Re: Navas

I remember thinking when we first signed Silva that it was frustrating that he got a few more games with Spain than our Dave - Having seen him close up this season I am so happy we have him here. His pace is a given but the thing that really impresses me is how many great final passes he delivers at speed. He also is quite selective rather than wingers we have had in the past who would more often than not fire it in to no none in particular. A top top player who is at the top of his game under Manuel (as are quite a few others)

Re: Navas

Our top assister in the Premier League, think he's really grown into the side recently and when he plays we always seem to score big. Gives us that extra wide dimension which we have missed massively in recent years and with players like Negredo and even Dzeko to aim for, it really works and no wonder we score so many.

Re: Navas

His delivery is fantastic, the more and more he plays the better he gets, he struggled in the first half, due to Richards constantly overlapping him, once he had more space he was a lot more effective.

Yes I noticed that and agree with you that he was much more effective when Richards tired . He links up better with Zabba.
Thought his crossing on Wednesday was really impressive and I like the fact that he looks for the best option rather than just hoping someone will be on the end of the cross.

Re: Navas

been a great signing so far and seems very happy in Manchester and with the rest of the players. having negredo here as well has certainly helped.

Re: Navas

4 Goals and 9 Assists with only 15 starts (11 sub appearences) - he's offering great returns at the moment.

Re: Navas

One of these days if he's not careful' he'll be doing himself an injury jumping over the corner flag when he scores.

Love this lad more and more. The variation and quality of his deliveries - and the shrewdness behind each one - is a huge asset but whats really exciting me now is his improved workrate. The way he was chasing down everything today was brilliant to see.

He is a special player. He will make the Spanish first team this summer.
