Jesus Navas last game tonight

Think it was late on in the game,it was a brilliant long range effort which I think just clipped the post and over. It was so out of keeping with anything else City had produced on the night, almost as tho Sergio had shot out of frustration and anger.
Understandable.
Thank you. You have restored my faith in my memory. Now about that time we thrashed Wigan in the cup final…..

Did suffer consistency issue similar to an average winger but as you mentioned was still a useful player to have around and after he left he continued to have a solid career. The only issue with not signing Navas earlier was his chronic bouts of Homesickness which he did eventually cure.

Yeah Homesickness was definitely a codeword for crippling anxiety there, and having had my own problems with anxiety in my early 20s I always rooted for him a bit more because of that. Thought it was a really smart move by the club to send his brother to Bury so he had more family around him but again I think that only lasted for that first season and maybe contributed to his form declining after.

He was on the main stand side of the pitch. I was in block 211.

He thumped it in a direct line towards where I was sat and it flew into the net. A very good player, wish he had stayed longer.
It's mad that after so many years of getting fuck all out of Spurs,we started whacking em most games. And now it's turned back again. Navas for me was dynamite when on his game but too inconsistent.

For me , Navas is one of the best right sided winger I've ever seen.in my life.
The quality was there for all to see.. He would run,and destroy the Fullback.at top speed, get to the by line, and in accordance with his manager's instructions...roll the ball back along he 6 yard line to set the player up to score ....he'd done his job..over to you Sergio or whoever
As a left winger myself ,I could really understand the game plan, and he did it .time after time...
Sometimes Sergio scored from 6 yards.
Very often he missed or ,it was blocked by a defender.
But..He Navas.. did his job brilliantly for us,and I cannot think of a more effective Right winger ,ever..playing for Manchester City.
He was brilliant.

Sorry Buzzer....; ).i never saw you play Football.
