Not a key player I recon, and I'd rather see an actual manager in place before we fill up the squad even more. Still, I want to trust los dos amigos know what they're doing here.
From now on Managers at city will have nada zero to say about transfers. W dont operate like that anymore.

This...the manager is effectively the coach now as we have taken a European attitude, so the transfers are done by the board. wish more people would start to understand this, and that longevity in a manager does not necessarily equal success!
Good signing i think, slightly expensive for a 27 year old, but provides us with pace that we have lacked.

I agree we are now totally going down the "continental way" with regards to this. We will be in a position that if the Chairman/Board want to change the coach every year then so be it. It won't be like changing a manager when all the coaching staff leave a la Mancini's departure. That will never happen again imo.

As much as I agree he's a good player if not Great! But he's 27? Won't he be past his peak now

More like in his prime. Bayern just won the treble with a 30-year-old (Ribery) and 29-year-old (Robben) winger. Players can go longer now, especially those who look after themselves (unlike Rooney). Navas is a good athlete whose pace probably won't start to deteriorate until the tail end of his contract (if it's a 5-year deal).
I hope so because we need a good winger!

If it is any crumb of comfort, Begiristain was a very good winger during his playing days so I would like to think he can spot one as well.

Is this Jesus signing nailed on?

I've heard much about him being a good winger but, having never seen him play, I have to ask: Can he get on the end of crosses?

Sorry, I bet these have been done already

He's Never Sick at Home But He's Always sick away,
He was Anxious last week but he's not today,
We don't give a fuck coz he's gonna rip you up,
JESUS NAVAS, OK

Who ever made this up on here ... *round of applause*

like, be at the second post and put a toe forward, so yes. His primary objective though is to deliver those crosses and passas with pin point accuracy, which he will .

The real question is, whatever song we eventually settle on for him, will we butcher his name and call him jesus, or will we pronounce it properly "hey zeus" ?
