Praying it happens

That means Sterling is in place for him.

And therefore can get another foreign player like De Bruyne.

Things are shaping up.

I for one would be sorry to see him go. He was one of our most consistent players for a long time last year
Of all qualities in a football player, the most important is giving 100%, which he did.

Good luck to him if he does go

Are you joking?

He was utterly dreadful, we actually started to play well once he was dropped for milner in the remaining few games.
Just proved what I was saying, he is so undervalued by some of our fans. Was our main creative outlet, behind Silva. He is fantastic. If he leaves, I can guarantee people here will be saying we shouldn't have sold him. I'm 100% positive of that.

I hope he stays, love his die-hard attitude both in offence and defense. Great rapport with Zaba. If he going means Nasri is staying, I would be hugely disappointed. Nasri's attitude is his biggest hindrance IMO. Also we would be loosing our only pace outlet down the flanks and without any incoming not sure how it would pan out.

We are having a clear out ! they are both going.

You must be joking mate

You're right mate. Every person that comes on here and says he can't take a man on and never gets a cross in, have been embarrassing themselves all season long.

I'll be sad to see him go if true. Tries hard, contributes despite the detractors bullshit and seems a genuinely decent bloke. Time will tell on this one.

I find him to be one of the most frustrating players I have ever watched. Doesn't score, doesn't beat players and his final ball is dreadful. Honestly dont know what he gives to the side apart form the fact he works hard.

Would he honestly get into Chelsea, Barce, Madrid or Bayerns side?

This. He might create some chances, which is down to his pace and the quality of his teammates.

But think about how great a player he could be, if he actually took on his man, he's always cutting inside the field and often doing the "lazy pass".

He doesn't
I think he's a dreadful player but would he really get into other top class teams starting 11?

You could definitely see the improvement towards the end of last season when Milner (I don't rate him that highly tbh) began to start games over Navas.

I think we'd miss him if he went. None of the targets, from what I know of them, are out and out right wingers (or even left wingers), who can consistently provide the option of going on the outside, stretching the defence and getting to the byline.

His defensive work is also massively under appreciated in my eyes, that would give him an edge over others at many key points over the season.

Not really sure what you mean by taking on his man. He gets the ball in 8/10

Well, Barca, Madrid and Bayern have the best wingers in the world so it's a pretty bad comparison. Could he get into Chelsea? He probably would but everyone knows what Mourinho is like...
