All good and well at 5-a-side but can he do it in a proper game?

I do not want to WORRY you folks but you might take into consideration the fact that In Islam, Jesus (Arabic: عيسى‎, commonly transliterated as Isa) is considered one of God's important prophets, a bringer of scripture, and a worker of miracles. Jesus is also called "Messiah", but Islam does not teach that he was divine

Why is it worrying that "Religion B", created centuries after "Religion A", claims that Religions A's star player is merely a squad player in their own religion?. I think that that is quite natural. My Dad/God is bigger than yours and all that...

;)

If I had prophesied that Yep would conveniently ignore the above would that have meant I was the new Messiah? Perhaps the one Mamutley spoke of?

Hmmm...
It was not ignored, I just wanted to see what your reaction and comment would be if I left it awhile. You interpreted my comments differently to what I meant.

What I meant was while us christians will turn the other cheek and God is big enough and loving enough to take any stick given, it has been observed that certain, but by no means all members, of the Muslim faith are not so tolerant of offence given to their prophets which includes Jesus!

Ah, ok, I can see that now.

I like a good mass debate though so thought it would be an interest to see what others thought on the subject.

have u ever had a mass debate over the virgin mary?

ill get my coat..

No. You don't have time to get your coat. Go. Go now. Go now before you re-offend.

;-P

I thought it was pretty funny tbh

I just caught up with this thread, and anything that involves religion on Bluemoon always seems to develop along parallel tram lines - Yes, you do believe OR No you don't.

As one who does believe, I have certain core beliefs, plus additional non-essential opinions. Historically, there is more written evidence about Jesus than many other ancient worthies, yet we often give more credence to those worthies whilst playing-down Jesus.

Perhaps Bluemoon is not the best place for debates like this, however I'm willing to respectfully discuss by PM if anyone wants to. Alternatively there are numerous forums that specifically cater for such debates - I'm sure everyone knows how to find one via Google.

I personally think that so called jokes about Jesus and Mary are in poor taste.

I can accept that a lot of people have no faith, but that doesn't mean you should ridicule the religion of other people.

Sorry,but that is just nonsense.
Personally,as a lapsed Catholic atheist,I choose to respect the faiths of others, and only get up on my hind legs to protest when someone of faith tells me that I am destined for hell or worse,or tries some vain "conversion" attempt.
But to outlaw humour regarding religion is effectively censorship via the back door.
And surely if ones faith is absolute,it isn't going to be shaken or questioned by a mere joke?
Once religious jokes cross the line into racist stereotyping or derogative negative imaging, then that may well be questionable, but how far would you take a ban on religious humour?
Banning "Life Of Brian"?
You just end up with a sterile vacuum reminiscent of Taliban rule.
And thats no barrel of laughs.
