Jibbing in (aka Tailgating)

We arrived at the wrong end of Bayern’s stadium for the CL QF three years ago. My son decided he couldn’t be arsed walking round to our turnstiles so he vaulted over the turnstiles and legged it with three Germans in close pursuit. Does it count as jibbing in if you actually have a ticket?
He also jibbed into the final two years earlier in Porto by tailgating some stadium workers with a fake pass round his neck. Ended up in the Chelsea end though.
A bit of an expert then ;)

Or pushing the metal gates down and crushing the hot dog vendor on the other side of them in the process. Suppose we classed it as collateral!
At Oldham last time we played them in FA cup Jan 2005, my brother went in with his ticket he then came to the fence and passed it to me I then gained entry with same ticket

would like to think you make the conductor aware that he didn't have a ticket once you found out he was a rag. only joking no one likes a grass. although i hope the rag sorted you out ££
Came across as one of those who’s jibbed his way through life, probably posted on Twitter how he shafted a bert

On the train to Euston this morning, daughter couldn’t travel with us as she had a uni exam so I got her a later train (leaving a spare) conductor comes down checking tickets & a fella was trying to do the old asleep number, turns out he never had a ticket so I bailed him out, conductor was fuming, but not half as bad as me when he told me 5 minutes later he’s a rag & making his way to the Bournemouth game :\
Rags are renowned for jibbing trains, ferries and National Express.

Wonder what they'll do with jibbing kids in with you. The adults got a ticket so they aren't "tailgating" (diabolical american term that doesn't even mean what it's being used as here)

A rite (or right) of passage in certain part of the UK. Thankfully I hear UK law doesn't quite apply everywhere so their cultural heritage is safe.

I always thought it was a criminal offence anyway after the lessons of the past and impact it can have on safety, but better late than never I suppose.
They're not part of the UK - as they tell everyone ad nauseam.
Which is fitting since they're not policed like the rest of the UK by their plod!!!

The only ground I’ve jibbed in was at a preseason friendly at Chester’s Sealand Road in 1984.
A Sunday game (we played Crewe the day before) and they had 2 turnstiles open so as the game kicked off there were scores of fans of both clubs outside. After missing the first 5 or so mins, two mates gave me a bunk up onto the top of the wall (maybe 8 foot high). I’m sat on the wall and there were no stewards or dibble on the inside, so helped 3 or four others up and over the wall we dropped.

I jibbed in against the scum last time. I had a ticket for the other end but wanted to be with my daughter and sister. Wembley is so fucking easy. But with these new laws coming into practice,it'll certainly make a few think twice.
A mate of mine successfully jibbed into the new Wembley 5 times out of 5 between the 2011 Stoke FA Cup Final and the 2023 Rags FA Cup Final. He finally came a cropper at the FA Cup semi against Chelsea in 2024. We'd been drinking in Camden and misjudged the amount of travelling time on the tube to Wembley so ended up arriving at the bottom of Wembley Way with only 10-15 minutes to go to kick-off. As such, by the time we got to the tunrstiles there were hardly any fans about. He tried to jib in behind me but as the 4 of us were basically the only fans around the stewards weren't distracted and clocked him straight away. If there were still loads of fans around, I reckon he'd have made it 6 out of 6 no problem but there's no way he's ever going to try it again with these new laws!

That's some effort him jibbing in at Porto for the CL Final. I thought the security there was watertight with multiple cordons, etc, checking tickets. With it being the pandemic as well, they were also checking Covid passes and stuff
