More than that in fact, from wikipedia

17 December 1978: The IRA carried out bomb attacks on cities in England including Bristol, Coventry, Liverpool, Manchester and Southampton.
5 April 1991: a number of incendiary devices were planted by the IRA in the Arndale Shopping centre in Manchester, England. They were discovered and defused.
8 December 1991: seven incendiary devices exploded in the Manchester Arndale in England. There were no injuries.
4 December 1992: the IRA detonated two small bombs in Manchester, England; 64 people were injured.
5 June 1996: the IRA detonated a 3,000 lb (1,400 kg) bomb in Manchester, injuring over 200 people and causing damage valued at £411m but no fatalities. This was the largest IRA bomb ever detonated in Great Britain, and the largest bomb to explode in Great Britain since the Second World War.

What is this topic doing on a football forum???????????.

Here comes my answer:

The so called "Bomber" Gerd Muller is still holding the bundesliga record of 40 goals scored 1971/72 within 34 matches.
I wonder if he would have scored against Everton tomorrow as well. Hmmm, maybe not. Difficult to say. (Scratch...)

Could be too holistic of an approach. But it doesn't make any less sense than this complete waste of a thread.
But hey - we could try to unfold this thread to a world compendium of human history and finally it would be some kind of online arts. Bugger me!

56 pages for this shi*t, Many killed and injured in Istanbul on a off topic thread and no one is arsed ,shows what peoples priorities are .sing a daft song about a terroist we are are up in arms .but when one of his mates blows loads of people no one gives a monkeys

I disagree.

I think many are troubled by the events in Istanbul and elsewhere, but accept that it's largely beyond our control. The fact that this thread is so active suggests people do have a view on matters, and consider it important enough to comment on. We, as a group of fans, DO have control over what we do / chant / say. We may well struggle to change the mindset of terrorists, but we stand a chance of thinking through more of our own actions. And if that means some think about it, and choose to carry on with a chant, so be it - at least they gave it some thought.

The chant and the subject matter are inextricably linked, and that's why this thread is as large as it is. I'd say it's indicative of fans that do give a toss (one way or the other).

Over the years we've used a lot of terminology, recited a lot of chants and behaved in a lot of ways that are no longer acceptable - times change. I think it's good that at least people are questioning some of the things we still do or did in the past.

Football forum? You're mistaken my friend, this is the English Defence League discussion board

Apparently we want owners that resemble those of the scousers and the shite from Trafford and not the ones we have now

Get rid of this thread already
