True enough but I just think this is out of character for Beglin. He might be ex-Liverpool but he's never come across to me as being a Liverpool mouthpiece and up their arse as much as the likes of Aldridge et al. I'm prepared to accept this as a piss poor attempt at a joke and nothing more.

Only he knows if he meant to say it or not. One thing I would say though is that if certain other ex Liverpool pundits had done the same, I don't think they would have apologised straight away.

That’s true, compared to the likes of Carragher, McManaman and Murphy, Beglin is Pete the Badge

Maybe he is or maybe he isn't. One thing I would say about Beglin is this. He co-commentated on some of our games during the Keegan promotion season when we were live on Granada and there was never a hint of bias against us.

The thing is we often get that jib in conversation between pundits , massive amount of times they call us manchester ut..city, the crowd is flat and quiet , we are sportswashing , state owned , all live on air , it is very clear that is how they address us off air and they forget and say it on air , no other team gets that
