a friend off mine came round on Friday who i have know for years, he just happens to be of mixed race, a Jamaican father and a English (Caucasian) mother. in talking i said coloured instead of black which i know is the trend these days, but for that brief second i went back in time.

at one time black was a word that should not have been used to describe someone of African descent like the N word which i still wont use.

i think that most people with any common sense would realise that to people of a certain age, saying the word coloured to describe a black person is not meant as a a personal slur.

where as trying to use this slip of the tongue to try and win points in a discussion on an internet football forum is despicable.

BB2 IMO its you who should make an apology for stooping so low

Sorry I stopped reading when you said 'a friend off mine'

yeah friend, its perhaps a strange concept for you. but most of us on here have them.

(most valued poster in you own head) your a joke, but worse than that your a disgrace.

-- Mon Feb 28, 2011 12:07 pm --

you offend people with nearly every post you make, as for calling me racist you could not be further from the truth, now i suggest you go away and think, because you seem to think posting provocative threads on here is amusing, now to any rational person that is shall we say politely weird.

The first time i came back to Manchester, after 15 years away,i dropped the "c" word, because my daughter (3 years old at the time) made an innocent comment about a black kid and i said she was not used to seeing "coloured" people, where we live.
A life long black friend said"obversely",in a way that was like wtf!
My two mixed raced Nephews pissed themselves laughing and told me you can't say coloured anymore.
I'm like "what?",when i left,you could not say black.
BB2 is just being BB2.
Tin hat needed?
