Jim Davidson

Anyone remember his hilarious, wonderfully observed and satirical black character "Chalky"?

I could never understand why he stopped doing that. It put me in mind of Dave Allen or Denis Leary at their finest, such was the power of the incisive observation contained within this character.

I mean a black guy called Chalky.

Does it get any funnier than that? I think not.

And has also raised lots of money for our brave soldiers that fight abroad. He also goes to entertain them all over the world free of charge.
Clarkson does the same and is lauded.
Davidson is a **** because he's been doing it for 25 years.
What a **** Davidson is ??
God there are some cunts on here sometimes.

So because he does charity work for the forces that makes him exempt from criticism for his vile racist outlook?

What kind of bizarre fucking logic is that? Christian Bale went out to see some of the victims of the Colorado shootings this week and was widely praised for it. Fair play to him for that. But does that no longer make him not a weird horrible prick for allegedly punching his own mother two years ago?

There is only one thing worse than a racist IMO and that's a supposedly funny racist with a microphone because their material is then perpetuated at countless black kids in playgrounds across the country.

If a soldier aired racist views I'd view him in return as a colossal **** and he goes out and does the actual fighting and puts his life on the line.
So someone who flies out to make jokes about 'ragheads' then flies back is hardly going to be deemed exempt is he.

Completely agree with this.

Davidson is a ****, he is a bully and a fucking prick. Nothing he does can justify his racist shit.

I also hate that some people consider soliders above everyone else. They do a job they choose to do, they aren't heroes.

went to see him at the palace in manchester, spent most of his act not telling jokes ,but slagging off the labour government !
i should of asked for my money back it was like a party political broadcast on behalf of the conservative party
roger kitter who supported him was funnier

Is it as equally well observed and satirical as this classic?

Very funny man and a nice fella when I once met him. Unlike Peter Kay who is as funny as a shooting pain in the left arm and a cold sweat and a nasty piece of work.

Cheeses will be devastated to learn that you have been meeting other men.

yep racism is a one way street!

How many times has he been married now, Davidson? It's 6 or something? Classy.

Seemed a nice bloke when I met him in 2011. He's had his issues, but I guess a lot of that was down to the industry he's in. Certainly the 70's and 80's were a completely different time for comedy. I guess many comic's from around that era had their demons in one way, shape or form.

I’ve rewatched Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere recently and laughed my backside off. Ridiculously funny.

I hear Kay isn’t a nice man, tbh. I know a couple of people in comedy.
