Jim Ratcliffe - claims the UK is being “colonised”

Go and spend a week in Manningham and get back to us.
Used to have a customer on Manningham Lane going back over 30 odd years ago.

I was sat in my car eating my butty when I got a tap on the window, wound it down and this big black woman said “you looking for business” I said “no thanks love just got myself a ham and egg sandwich”, she replied “you can have me for your pudding” pissed myself laughing.

Couple of years later Band of Gold came on TV, was partly filmed in Bradford (some also in Ashton) and the “Lane” they referred to was Manningham, it was a shite hole then but not been back for years. I remember the Buttershaw Estate in Bradford as well, that was even worse.

All people should be treated equally, a person should be judged on the content of their character, but the cult of DEI and multiculturalism requires one to treat all cultures equally and that is something that in real life next to nobody does.

The left acknowledges this, hence the likes of black history month where we're all supposed to pretend that the Benin Bronzes are the equivalent of the Renaissance.
No it doesn’t! Only in its most extreme form which as you say nobody does, so it’s a meaningless definition.
So all cultures are not equal?
No obviously not. All culitures are treated equally but still within the confines of whichever countries laws.
What do you mean " No obviously not"?

Because what followed was not an answer to the question.

Why?

Coz you go on to talk about whether ones particular cultural practice lies one side or the other of the laws of whatever country you happen to be in, but while that is important, that was not the issue, your reply does not address the question.

Which was and I repeat....

So all cultures are not equal?

Maybe people have forgotten... sink estates like Buttershaw were where the white working class lived (and the non-working). I don't think you were making a link, but some people (like Ratcliffe) would have you believe it was race not poverty that was the problem.

Rita, Sue and Bob Too * reflected Buttershaw as it was in Thatcher's Britain. Though criticised at the time as denigrating the place, it was part of the "something must be done" feel to regenerate such areas.

* I was at the premiere in Bradford. Some might not have liked it, but Andrea Dunbar got a good reception from the audience. Now it would have to be Rita, Sue and Bob meToo.

So you'd advocate that Muslims use tannoys outside churches on a Sunday to tell the worshippers why their faith is rubbish... and have some idiot trying to video people giving evidence about alleged crimes.
Muslims blast out their calls of prayers from loud tannoys, no difference. The preacher can do whatever he wants, just like the police officer said. Fair play to her.

Go back for round 2 mate.

I was aware of the Rita, Sue connection but was still pretty shocked at the state of the place when I drove through, long time ago and no reason to go back.

Well yes it is the issue as it means the answer is obviously not, like I said. Of course all cultures aren’t treated equally. All people are within the confines of a particular countries laws.

Can you give an example of where you think a culture is treated equally that you’d want to change and why? As I think I understand your viewpoint, I’m not sure what you want to see done though.
