Didn’t he once blame our turmoil in the 90s on the City fans, saying it was the fault of the fans they’re not doing well?

Anyway, one daft comment doesn’t take away from a lifetime so far play on the award.

Difficult when your son’s been campaigning for it.

The system stinks though. Too many gongs given to:
  • People who earned loadsamoney for doing stuff they enjoyed, or
  • steady Eddie public servants who didn’t rock the boat and knew where the bodies were buried.

My long-gone dad always said that Jimmy was one of the best players he ever saw. I’m very pleased for him and his family.
 
About time, grew up with Saints and Greavsey......... punditry never matched, those guys had the lot. Real humour,insight and technical opinions.

I remember Jimmy said Denmark would win the Euro`s in Sweden. I remember thinking Jimmy`s losing it. Only cemented his legendary status in the game.


I actually never remember any bigotry or crass comments, imo.

It’s a fuckin mystery. I’m going to look into it. I’ll start with seeing who they played for and see if that had anything to do with it, though i suspect it will lead down a rabbit hole full of dead ends.

Life is full of mysteries.
