João Félix

I hope the next player we are interested in is afforded more than 70 minutes in an international game to impress.

Oh for goodness sake...
We’re taking about a £100m transfer fee. For that you’d expect to see at least a single moment of quality in 90 minutes against Switzerland.

One game and he's shit, blah blah blah...

It's like fans have never seen a player have a bad game. Reminds me of the season before when fans on here were doubting Bernardo Silva's abilities after we lost to Shakhtar 2-1.

Never learn.

I'm ignoring tonight. Huge occasion for him, it can happen.

But in general I'm not sure what his strengths are. I haven't seen much of him tbf but from what I have seen he's not really a dribbler, not really a playmaker and not particularly fast. Lots of hype about him tho and lots of big clubs wanting him so just taking it on faith that he's this huge talent.

Got to love the transfer forum. Always judging players on the one game they see them in. Luckily City's scouts do a little bit more research.
We are talking GOAT levels here. He virtually broke down most if not all promising attacks that came through him. I always thought to myself, why all the hype with this guy? No searing pace, dribbling ability limited. Yes he can receive balls played to his back, does one-twos and has an eye for a goal but we are talking potential GOAT here, common.

Maybe @Dax777 or yourself can give us more insight but I've never seen the GOAT in him even on the day he got a hattrick vs E. Frankfurt at the Europa League.

Never understand these comments. I strongly doubt anybody is actually judging a player and their potential over the next decade on one solitary game. Nevertheless, it’s many people’s first glimpse of him and they’re merely commenting on what they saw from him which was virtually nothing as he was anonymous.thats not the same as judging him.

Side note, how bloody good was Bernardo. Genuinely think he’s worth 5 times what we paid for him already.

I do not want to judge him for one game but I do not think he is worth the amount they are asking for .
Maybe he'll be a great player but I did not see anything special. I hope he'll score three goals in the second half and shut me up
Seriously writing this post after watching one half of his first senior appearance?

His rumoured transfer fee is ridiculous based on his current level. He may have potential, it’s hard to tell from YouTube and 70 mins of an international debut, but from what most have seen he doesn’t deserve that price tag. He didn’t really do any one thing particularly well and looked very weak. I think it’s purely the price tag driving the criticism. If it was £30M you’d think it’s a gamble worth taking. £120M and you’d better be sure.
