João Félix

How much would Jesus be valued at in that swap deal?

Perhaps 50-60% of the value of Felix maximum. So we pay at least 40-50 million for a talented player but with less experience and an inferior scoring rate.

Would be a fantastic player to have in our team but don't think he will end up as a CF full time, trequartistsa or a winger if not further back as a CAM.
If it were a straight swap, how would you feel?

On book value it makes sense as we make an instant profit but it's academic as it's almost certainly not going to happen. The agents involved won't get to cream off the top if it is a straight swap.

Where does he play if we do sign him?

False 9, left wing, CAM. Who would you drop? KDB, Foden, Bernardo, Gundogan?

Fantastic technical ability but still a case of buying potential at this point. Might be embarrassing if it doesn't work out and then Gabby goes on to become the finished product and end up at somewhere like Barcelona or PSG

I’m on your kinda wavelength. He’s potential. He’s got the tools, but hasn’t progressed under Simeone. Not many attackers do.

I‘m starting to get the feeling that Jesus may have peaked though and it might be worth the punt on swapping him for Felix.

It’s a risk, but one with logic behind it. They need to replace Suarez and we can always use an attacking midfielder.

This could only work if Pep sees Torres as a number 9 though.

As a false 9 with quick players on the wing maybe. Foden/mahrez on the right and Ferran/Sterling on the left.

I'd like to keep hold of Gabby though, ironically I think he is someone who would link up well with Felix.

What does Jesus add to our team if Haarland comes in?

Do we see Felix as a new David Silva kind of player? Only asking as he might not just be a false 9, but a potential replacement for ageing KDB/Gundogan eventually.

I just can't see us dispensing with Jesus and Aguero at the same time, then going into next year without a striker that knows the EPL at all.

As I said before, Felix doesn't appear to play as an out and out striker, and his record just doesn't seem prolific enough for us to know, that he can be the one to replace Aguero.

It appears the false 9 is our preferred option at the moment, but is that really because Pep was forced to go this way, when Aguero was injured, and he couldn't really Jesus to lead the line and get us the goals? That may well change, if we signed someone like Haaland, we must have a proven goal scorer/striker in the squad next season.

So it’s Kane and Felix then.
