João Félix

He's nothing special athletically though, so putting him into a Mbappe category makes no sense. He's not a next Messi/Ronaldo, more like next Rui Costa. Which isn't bad at all, but the current hype doesn't reflect his true level.

Anyway, if Pep knows how to fit Felix into the team, we should take a punt on this kid.

David Silva is, by your definition, nothing special athletically. Rabbi Mutondo is special athletically, as was Micah Richards. The latter does not make a great player, though it may make a player look like they are truly special, especially in their teens as their peers are not at the same athletic level.

Technique and vision always have the potential to make a great player. Think about what Pep does: he has consistently employed a combination of engineers and ballerinas: dictators of the play and dive bombers to deliver the coup de grasse. I do not know too much about Felix, but if he has David's vision, ball control and movement, with added finishing, I'd take him like a shot.

Exactly, pace makes players stand out but it's useless with no end product. Messi isn't a physical beast, nor was Pirlo, nor our own Merlin. If Felix has skills anywhere near those players, imagine how good he'd be under Pep!

He chose to leave us. Now a man can change his mind, granted, but he was not prepared to fight to show he could achieve his dreams at our club. That's not a player that I would be paying £80m for, regardless of his talent.
To be fair his decision to leave and seek more first team game time was a good one.

I thought Sancho looked the most dangerous attacking player on the field last night. We knew he was an exciting talent when he was at the club. I am not sure what clauses we have in his contract but personally I wouldn't hold past grudges.

I think he was proved right in the short term

He left City at the age of 17 and has since established himself as an England international and one of the best players in the bundesliga. He'll return a £100m player. I don't think it's for any of us to question his fight or mentality. He's made more impact on a foreign league than any Englishman I can remember in recent memory. He made absolutely the correct choice for himself and his career.

Time will tell if Sancho made the right decision. He clearly is a prodigy and has had a great Bundesliga season. I wish him nothing but success and he does not owe us, we bought him ourselves. I am saying that I would not pay £80m for him because I don't believe he wishes to fight for his place against other top talents. It is that which makes our club so successful.

I agree but I believe in second chances and especially since he is English I hope we get to a point in which we have at least 5 English players in the team.

I think we've past the point of wondering. He clearly did. He was in the same level asDiaz and Foden 2 years ago. Now he is a 100 million Euro player who's a national team starter. Foden and Diaz are still potential. He isn't.

You couldn't have made righter decision. He bet on himself and won. Nothing but respect for that.

Until somebody buys him for 100m he is worth exactly what Dortmund paid for him.
And I agree, he made the right decision.

So Phil who has 2 PL medals is only a potentially good player, whilst Sancho who has won fuck all is a £100m player lol

Phil has been ahead of Sancho in every season at City when both were here. If he went to Germany he would be a £200m player, but he backs himself to make it with us instead of running away from the challenge!
