Who cares when it comes to forwards, as we don't play that way. Seems to work out alright. Are Manchester City aware of the existence of human beings over six foot tall
Until it doesn’t. Nothing wrong with having a different optionWho cares when it comes to forwards, as we don't play that way. Seems to work out alright.
last time i watched city at anfield i felt the same about all our players ):Last time I watched him (was it v Liverpool ?) I wanted to kick his useless, wussy, fancy dan face in.
Presumably he is usually better than that, but still, it's a 'no' from me.

It would be nice but no Guardiola team is going to start lumping it in. We can't have squad player like a NFL special team player. We'll only buy players that play our way in open play. If he happened to be tall as well fair enough but it's not an attribute we'll look for in a forward.Until it doesn’t. Nothing wrong with having a different option

Being tall and being able to play is not mutually exclusive. Nobody is advocating signing Andy Carroll but we seem to have a blind spot when it comes to what remains a perfectly valid and significant part of the game.It would be nice but no Guardiola team is going to start lumping it in. Should be imo. (Well aerial ability, not especially height).
We have shown we can cover other options, but we have some of the best players ever at delivering a ball, with no option, even off the bench, to deliver it to.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be a useful attribute, but forwards that are good enough technically and good in the air are quite rare, Lewandowski is one and Ronaldo too.I just think if we got one it would be a bi product rather than a reason to target somebody. Can't think of anyone in particular that would be a target that can do both, but then I don't know much about players around and available outside England.
so would peter crouch,We can't just sign a lump for that job, but Kane for example, if he wasn't ridiculously overpriced & a sicknote, would give us a different way of opening teams up.
:) plepso would peter crouch,
i cant warm to kane,i can see he has the goals, but i just think he would stand out in our team as a bit of a donkey, and as someone else has already said, his mouth is too small for his massive tongue ,imagine that **** giving an interview in a city shirt trying to say plep godrolla
Kane is possibly one, that said just from memory can’t remember any headed goals which isn’t to say he doesn’t get headed goals, probably my memory. Think it’s unlikely for the reasons you mention, also not entirely convinced he’s looking to move.We can't just sign a lump for that job, but Kane for example, if he wasn't ridiculously overpriced & a sicknote, would give us a different way of opening teams up.
Look, you can take your rational, logical, stats-based posts and stick 'em. He's a big tongued donkey and we don't like him.Kane has scored 30 headed goals in 283 games for Spurs (roughly 1 every 9 games), Agüero has scored 25 in 370 for City (roughly 1 every 15 games).
Stats from statbunker
I expect Kane's stats to be more with him being the taller player
It wouldn't be just about headed goals scored, it would also be about chaos caused by having an extra threat & defenders having to worry about it, clear KDB's aerial crosses without Aguero getting the scraps, etc.
Trouble is Kane isn't that type of player either. When it comes to corners he is the one taking them.
