5 wins out of 6 in the league and two carling cup victories and already we are too good for the Europa League...........

Who's saying that? People are just pointing out that the europa league is a huge stretch of resources and time, especially if you go as far as we did.

Don't mind so much not being in it this year, i can save some pennies. Can't wait for next year though! We'll have the squad and stability to cope with a bit of luck

Marvin and Wheelsy for starters. It's about as much stretch on resources and time as the Champions League so that's bollocks as everyone would love to be in that. The Europa League is a fantastic competition to be in, the group stages are shite but so are the Champions League. It's a competition we should be looking to do well in if we get in it next year, it's a chance to build a european pedigree, something this club lacks at the minute.

It's definatley not something we should be glad we aren't playing in this year as some are pointing out.

All I can say is thank fuck we ain't in that comp.

Why? I had some of the best times ever as a blue watching us away in Europe last season. Would love to be in it again this year.

Anyway, according to Sky Sports Live Service, Jo played the whole match?? Yakubu went off, was it him?

I liked the UEFA Cup run last season, the buildup to a game, and the "instanbul we are coming" chants always gave me a nice buzz. The Hamburg game at Eastlands was epic, we pushed them all the way, the atmosphere and the importance of the match, just makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. I remember jumping up and down when Caicedo made it 2-1, I really thought we were going to do it.

I hope the Carling or FA Cup can provide me with as much adrenaline.

Jo played out the 90 mins.

Who went off with a serious knee injury then lad? Yakubu?

Jo was carried off just before half time but came out again for the second half and finished the match.
