Jo - still no buyer

Club owner in financial difficulties pays well over the odds for average player, a cynic might smell something fishy?

If we get £3 million back for Jo we will be doing exceptionally well. We are onlky getting offers of £3.5 million for RSC who is actually a decent player just injured all the time.

Sociedad - No-go for Jo
Spaniards do not expect to sign Brazilian striker

Real Sociedad have described their chances of successful negotiations regarding Manchester City striker Jo as 'very scarce'.

The Spaniards confirmed their interest in the Brazilian at the start of July as they look for loan options to increase their attacking threat ahead of a return to La Liga.

But Real's president, Jokin Aperribay, does not expect to be able to complete a deal for Jo, who has failed to make a positive impression at City since being signed in 2008.

"It's not a closed case but it's complicated for him to come to Real now and we are working on other alternatives because the possibilities of that negotiation being successful are very, very scarce," Aperribay said at a press conference.

Jo joined City from CSKA Moscow with a reputation as a dangerous striker but he was loaned to Everton in 2009 and he spent time last season with Galatasaray.

He should know that if he doesn't take a pay cut he'll be warming the reserves bench for 3 more years, and after that, he'll have to either take a pay cut or go on the dole.

No Go Jo

Looks like we are stuck with him unless we can get some other sucker to take him for another year

What, you mean cross border multi million pound transactions involving multiple parties might be open to abuse? meh.

he was nowhere near 18m, that figure was based on if he playes so many games and scored so many goals.....I somewhat doubt he has hit either, the base signing was something like 6m(still not great, but he is no RSC!).
