Jo Swinson

Lol. Another newly invented concept of two tier standards of behaviour within parliament. How convenient.
I don’t think it’s that far fetched to expect the Prime Minister to be a bit more considered and dignified than, say, an irate backbencher tbh. The position brings responsibility with it.

Least we know that all other MPs journalists members of the public can now use those once banned and terrifying words

Surrender traitor humbug

I think that the office of PM brings with it the responsibility to set the tone for the rest of the HoC - for political party's and ultimately the country itself and how we are seen from abroad. As Johnson fails to adhere to not unreasonable expectations of behaviour and respect for the law I am afraid whatever comes is way is hard earned by him and he can have no complaints henceforth.

Good job he’s a Tory and supposed leaver(ha) you would have been in a moral dilemma Mr Blue, it’s amazing the good fortune on here that everyone who cocks up or is plainly wrong and evil are always on the opposite side.

What are the chances.

Unbelievable Jeff

Nah - he is just a PM bringing the office into disrepute - if that makes you happy then knock yourself out.

I don't think you can blame it all on Johnson.

Swinson has promised to overturn the referendum vote if she gets into power, even if that's from a fraction of the votes and a fraction of the turnout that voted for Brexit.

I think, in any political climate, that's going to have serious consequences (although it obviously doesn't justify the threats).

Wait a minute, are you suggesting that people in the politics forum tend to post on partisan lines?! Huge if true.

Humbug never said I was happy not once. Just pointing out the daily hypocrisy.

Don’t be a traitor to your morals or surrender your good name:-)

Don't worry I won't. Are you having a tryout to captain the trolling team tonight?

The way I see it is they are all being paid out of our taxes, and parliament has one single code for conducting discourse from any bench. I'm no fan of BJ, but perhaps those foaming at the mouth and hurling plenty of charged rhetoric his way should hold themselves to these standards. Perhaps parliament should consider appointing an unbiased neutral person to occupy an neutral position in the house and uphold this code equally without any political bias?.........

All the previous Prime Ministers in my lifetime, even going back to Thatcher, have been subject to some fairly vitriolic abuse from backbenchers at times. I don’t recall any of them conducting themselves the way Johnson does. Let’s not normalise this behaviour.
