Because, after 3.5 years of this, I will never understand why people who seriously want to remain in the EU, will not vote for the only party that categorically states it will revoke article 50 and stay in the EU. I didn't in 2017 and still don't now. Ive had abuse for asking the question, but never had a proper answer. Corbyn detests the EU, yet remainers vote for him ?

I have already mentioned it previously in the Brexit thread, but I think just revoking article 50, as per the Lib Dem’s pledge, would be too damaging. Not that it matters, as they have zero chance of winning a General Election (FTPT being another compelling reason not to vote for them). I just think in the circumstances it should go back to the people.

As a caveat, I should add that I’m fully aware that others don’t share that view, and have no desire to go through the same tedious arguments all over again. Just giving my personal opinion in response to a specific question.

That's a very misleading tweet. The reason they abstained was because the motion was against the entire of the Health and Social Care act, not just further privatisation. It also wouldn't have meant anything even if it had passed as it wasn't actually asking for anything.

THE SNP have accused Liberal Democrat leader Jo Swinson of “showing her true colours” after her party ruled out working with them but not the Tories.

Swinson said last month that the LibDems needed to work with other parties that support a second referendum on Brexit.

However, as reported in the Sunday National, LibDem whip Alistair Carmichael has confirmed in an interview on BBC Radio 5 Live that the party would not be willing to forge a Remain pact with the SNP in Scotlandat a General Election.
