She was appalling, the only one who had a worse night than the fat fool.
Nah, Boris had a good night.
Swainson did have a disaster but Corbyn's honest Brexit broker lark is just total bollox. It is simply untenable.
The only way it can work is if Labour put a strong Labour Leaver forward to deliver the Labour Brexit vision with the EU. Too late to do that now though and there isn't a strong Labour Leaver who can deliver a Labour Leave outcome with the EU. As a result, they're fucked in every leave leaning seat in the country as local polls are starting to show. The Tory vote holds up and goes up a bit but the Labour vote drops dramatically.

Errrrr....

Beforehand he was ahead on points and it remained so afterwards. It was a good night for him.

He is ahead on points, but he came across as a buffoon and winging it.

The problem isn't these debates it is the years of negative press for Jeremy and johnson playing the loverble toff on panel shows and as mayor.

Black mirrors the waldo momment sums up the reasoning behind many voters nowadays

Everyome knows Johnson is still ahead in leader polls and probably will remain so, despite him beinh a liar and a ****.

However watching last night Swinson, to get back on thread topic was a shambles

She wasn’t a shambles. She had the hardest questions and was attacked more on austerity than Johnson was.

I thought she did well with what was a total attack. The equivalent of facing the 70’s/80’s Windies bowling attack and managing to keep them out, whilst gaining no runs.

Corbyn had two hard questions early on but the audience then just ended up not asking him stuff and praising him.

The demographic, as is often the case, wasn’t a far spread, it was very left.

I felt sorry for Swinson as she’s a decent person and an okay politician.

Swainson has a couple of significant assets which her opponents don't, and I feel we should discuss them more.

No she ain't, I can show respect for opposition politicians who are actually good and even though I don't have any respect for the lib-dems as a whole at present would praise previous leaders like ashdown and evern to a point charles as decent capable politician.

Swinson is noy on their lebel and eceryti e she is challenged looks clueless.

Compare her to sturgen last night, and I am not a fan of the SNP but she is at least a real party leader and knows what she is on about.

Tbf, Swainson is at least offering a clear stance on Brexit rather than trying to be all things to all men. The weakness though in her determination to deliver revocation as a democratic mandate should she end up in no10 is that she appears to be cherry picking which democratic results suit her.

Is a nuetral position really that strange?

Hasn't the fact the last two PMs are either pro remain and pro leace why we cannot get a ballanced deal?

In the origianal referndum in tge 70s tge PM took a neutral stance and personally I voted remain but am happy to leave so at present am niether a remainer or a leaver bit more concerned with how the country is run after brexit.

I would say many are neutral tbf and more worried about day to day problems.

The constant patronising and dismal of the LibDems as a real political stance or position only further alienates socialists from the rest of the country.

You constantly say you have no respect for her but that means absolutely nothing.
