Jo Swinson

She royally got it wrong and she paid the price.
The LD have a massive issue they have to pick a new leader from a pool of just eleven political mice.
Her and Corbyn pushed for those Election and by God has it bit them and their parties in the arse.

I cannot remember a worse 6 weeks in political history. She has absolutely fucked it and got every single thing wrong.

Labour got twatted, so I'm not gonna blame a lack of a pact between the two parties as the cause but what happened in Kensington was unforgivable.

They got the highest actual vote increase of the night, so they didn't get every single thing wrong. Lack of a pact was part of the cause, but then there were plenty of lib dem voters that wouldn't vote for Corbyn as much as they wouldn't vote for Johnson.

Feel a bit sorry for her, but she royally fucked up and must take responsibility for this egregious miscalculation. She's certainly paying the price in a humiliating way.

She is. Leaving aside brexit, I thought their manifesto was great, her leadership less so. I do feel a bit sorry for any party that increases their vote and comes away with fewer mps, that's our electoral system for you though.

The Lib Dems need to focus on although they've only got 11 seats, there's 3.3m that those are now representing. That's a very good base to build on and a lot of people they need to stand for, they need to get their next leadership move right. Ed Davey in as interim leader whilst they sort it out is what I would do.

She has a bad case of verbal diarrhoea, waffling on that she was right and every body else will regret the way they voted.

She and her Party got It badly wrong standing on a remain platform and also arrogantly suggesting she would be the next PM, she can now ride off over the horizon taking her book of “quotes” with her.

All this talk about Labour, but this party is in no better shape. Another leader needed, who's next?

I do wonder what the country would look like if Clegg hadn't traded tuition fees for an AV vote.

They had 60 seats, 25% of the popular vote, and everything that's happened under the conservatives since and the division of the Labour party could have lead to them becoming a serious 3rd party if they'd positioned themselves as a credible remain option, or a home for labour voters who coudn't vote for Corbyn.

Now they've got 7% of the vote and a dozen seats, less relevant than the fucking SNP & Sinn Fein.
