Jo

He didnt have a good game , his touch wasn't very good and he had 2 good opportunitis to score which he didn't . But thats one game , everyone was singing his praises after he scored a few in pre season . i still fell he has something to give to the team , he isn't the best but he is not a bad player . Good squad player to have but he won't get a game infront of balo and tevez and if he is still here ade

Let's be realistic here, Jo is not good enough for the current Man City team - full stop. Yes, it's only my opinion, but do any of you 'Pro-Jo's' seriously believe that he warrants a starting place in a line-up that includes Balotelli, Kolarov, Tevez, Big Nige, Silva etc?

Put Jo in a mid-table, mediocre side and he'd be their star turn: their big-name signing. He'd probably achieve cult-status at somewhere like West Ham or Bolton (with all due deference to these two clubs!), but quite simply he's just not good enough for us. Yes, I know, that makes me sound unbelievably arrogant, but I genuinely don't mean it to be - I'm just telling it how I see it.

We've given him more than enough chances to prove he can hack it, but he consistently lets us down with his poor passing, his awful positional sense and total lack of goal-scoring prowess.

Obviously Bobby Manc sees something in him that I don't, but for the life of me I cannot see what it is.

I just get frustrated with our fans sometimes. I just watched the extended highlights, he did much more than Ade and he had some good opportunities. I remember when he want past a player with a good piece of school only to be closed down by two other players.

He had a goo header, he is always in a good position. Timsoara didn't make it easy but you guys need to relax on the guy.

Pretty frustrating but I accept differences in opinion.

Go on Jo, I am and 10 others are behind you.

Jo just isn't good enough. He wasn't good enough for Everton and had lost his place in their first team by time he started arsing around and pissing Moyes off, as far as I am aware. Also really bad sign that he caused problems on both his loan spells. I kind of like the fact that Mancini is prepared to give the lost causes another chance but then I do think Jo is shit and will be out of the picture again in a few weeks. I don't care how he did in the pre-season matches, you can't judge anyone on those. Not particularly judging on last night, he wasn't good but he wasn't awful either.

Glad most of the people on this forum don't support me!

What a bunch of whingers, can't show patience for your own players.

If Mancini thinks he is good enough then he is good enough. He knows more about footballers than me and I trust his judgement. There are people who 'support' City who just go to the game to give stick to their own players. Give the lad your support or shut up. If we all came and slagged you off at work you'd never get the floors swept.

3 years with a one in ten goal ratio. When is enough patience enough?
...Including two years of being one of the top scorers in Europe and forming a formidable strike partnership, scoring against the likes of Inter.

You have to wonder what some of the brianless idiots on here do when they are at the match. I remember when my dad taking me to the game as 3 year old and being bollocked for watching the pigeons. It appears that some folk on here particular those ratiing Crocky more highly than Jo are still with me back in the day at Platt Lane watching those pigeons flying from the main stand to the kippax and back.

Even the fact that Crocky 29 years old arse end of his career with a the majority of his career on the injury v a 22 year old still not quite the finished article doesn't ring any bells. Despite the fact that Tronaldo was utter dog shite until he hit 23/24 when he bulked out abit. Seriously those tub thumpers desperate to find a scapegoat need to realise the sh*t has all but gone once some mug takes Crocky off our hands.

I agree. But Ronaldo was a legend when he was 18 lol.

And Today's Punch Bag is "JO"

What a surprise - just rip into the lad. No matter that Timisoara put 10 men behind the ball - he should have been able to dribble around at least 5. Ignore the fact that in such circumstances all the other players struggled - hence man of the match being a centre half despite not having to defend much.
He wasn't great but nobody was last night - it was like a pre-season friendly and a practice match all in one - and given the oppositions tactics hardly the perfect showcase for players to impress.
In Jo's defence at least he attempted things (granted they didn't come off) - he looked like a player on trial who was trying too hard - he needs some backing - not just from the manager who appears to think he has something. Some of the comments and groaning directed at him last night was a bit unfair.

YES...
