We owe him wages of 10m a season x 4 years = 40m till 2027 as per his new contract with us.

Other clubs are doing us a big favor by loaning him out from us.

Yes, we might not get the transfer fee of 40m as tolmie said, but we make that up over a longer period on wage savings.
