I feel like this Cancelo saga is similar to the Bruno one. Completely made up garbage by agents or the media. For whatever reason....

Seems like it happens a lot to us these days.

Castles confirmed our interest in Cancelo, he is very reliable on Mendes clients. Castles was the first to say also that City's name were used to raise Fernandes price or something like that.

Yes , he is a twat....but he did say long before city briefed about no interest for Bruno

I've been completely ignoring this because it seems like obvious bullshit, but just to confirm, do we have any British journos reporting interest from the City side besides Castles?

Edit: my timing is impeccable

Fuck.....i might have been wrong. Goal.com and Sam Lee are saying it now.

Don't know what to make of it. Would prefer Wan Bissaka but perhaps Cancelo is a better fit for Pep's system. At least in an attacking sense.

From all the things i've read, this guy can't defend at all.

Wan-Bissaka is poor going forward and I don`t think he`s a very good dribbler and not good on the ball. Haven`t seen too much of Cancelo but he looks pretty good offensively

Agresti is reliable on Juventus stuff, looks like this could happen.

Cancelo is better offensively than Walker but worse defensively. Cancelo should be far better option against parked buses

Not sure how you came to the conclusion that AWB is poor going forward.

I know nothing but for me when we are looking at strengthening other areas, spending on a RB seems odd

Is he any good? I mean like an upgrade on Danilo or Walker. I thought Danilo looked decent oh well

To be honest Pep never seemed to like Danilo that much, he was a quick replacement when Alves fell through and even when he was in really good form when Walker had his dip around Christmas, Pep never gave him a proper run in the side, he just kept playing Walker until he worked his way into form.

So if we're going from an attacking RB option Pep won't use to an attacking option he really likes for £10-15m I suppose that's a good squad upgrade. Plus he's younger.

I imagine this will mean more Bernardo RW. One of the few problems we have with him there is a lack of width because Walker isn't much of a threat in the opposition third.

If you're thinking about the 3-2 defensive structure the players have talked about in possession, you can have Zinchenko-Laporte-Stones at the back, KDB dropping back next to Fernandinho, Bernardo moving inside with Cancelo on the overlap, then LW and Silva on the other side.
