I was wondering if Mendy isn’t fit could we omit him from squad . Thereby having an extra foreign squad place , adding Cancelo and keeping Danilo. Not really sure that works myself but better than loosing out if he is in Peps plans.

Make a guess, and keep repeating it till it happens. Then you were right all along. if it doesnt happen, well it just hasn't happened yet.

How many medicals has maguire had by now? and how many times has isco been close to joining us?

It doesn't make him wrong in this case. it doesn't make him right either. He's just guessing the obvious and sticking to it.
 


Post pre season seems like there'll be at least 1 or 2 outgoing and incoming players.
 
Not impressed after 15 mins danilo is better but hey the lad might be sick of going home looking at his packed suitcase

Agreed! I personally think Cancelo would be a truly brilliant signing for us but if we don’t get £25m at least for Danilo it’s pointless

Or we might want to choose our own right back and don't want Danilo as our starting right back.

i don't think so, myself. they signed Cancelo only last season, for 40m. They are looking to sell for a profit to finance other moves. that deal gives them no profit, just a player instead of one they already have. whoever they sign to replace Cancelo will no doubt be cheaper than danilo, with the remainder pocketed.

But they would still need a RB? This way money back and replacement?
