Neves would be perfect for us. One of the best young talents in the world, IMO. He can cover for Rodri, but he can also play next to him or even in that inverted RB role. He played a little bit in a somewhat similiar role for Benfica.
Nevertheless, the reported fee makes me very skeptical. They would ask for a 100m, and we reportedly agreed on 55? Unless Bernardo is going the other way ("played a huge part"). I bloody hope not.

Unless Silva is going the other way for free, this makes zero sense for Benfica.

Sounds more like a mini Palhinha at Fulham. Rodri can certainly win a few tackles but his game is more based on reading of the game, positioning, vision, passing, ball retention under pressure and control, in addition to being good in the air and having a decent shot on him.

Highly talented but would need to play further forward in our system. His lack of height and physical stature would go against him in English football; only 4 centimetres taller than Lewis.

Rodri can do those things because of the manager he plays under as well as the teammates he plays with. Put this kid in our team and in 2 years you would see traits of Rodri's playing style in him.
