Congratulations to the Big Fella. An iconic goalie who was there in my formative Blue supporting years. Well deserved.

I wouldn't have bothered.I have submitted a complaint to them
That's exactly what I said in my complaintDisgraceful omission from the BBC***s. Waste of time complaining though. If he played in red it would have been prominent on their pages.
Jim on that post about scapegoats the other day I think you mentioned Joe as getting some in the past. I was pretty young as a City supporter back then but don’t recall anything like that. What was it all about?Oi; we were all Chelsea fans before sept 2008, and don't you forget it.
Well done to the big fella on his award. Richly deserved for all his work with TMM.
;-)
I was only a nipper back then but, from memory, he wasn't a confident keeper, particularly when coming for crosses. It got to the stage where Johnny Hart signed Keith Macrae from Motherwell, and took Joe out of the side.Jim on that post about scapegoats the other day I think you mentioned Joe as getting some in the past. Yes, Joe got the odd scrap when they CBA.Well done big Joe. Personally thought he was the best English keeper 1979-82 but Shilton and Clemence had the Ron Greenwood rotation all to themselves
My Nan got big Joe's autograph for me when I was a kid, he was a great keeper.Well done, Joe.
My first City hero. When I was 10 my mum wrote off to the club asking for a signed picture of him. And it's been following me around ever since.
The signature has faded. But the memories remain.
I think I know why, the official list readsThe BBC list all the sporting gong winners with a nice extra mention for Moyes and Hansen.
No mention of Joe Corrigan whatsoever in the list
That's typical isn't it ? No mention of City. Would have been different if Joe had played for any of the red tops. Anyway, well done Big Joe. You won more trophies in your career than Sir Waistcoat did.I think I know why, the official list reads

No mention of football.
It’s funny you mention that. Being 52 he was my first footballing hero (I can still remember the top Trump cards state “height 6 foot 4 and an half”!). When I was older and was talking to a United fan who was quite a bit older he told me he was a joke and a bad keeper and I was gobsmacked. I couldn’t equate what I remembered with what he was saying. It was only later I read the stories like kicking the ball up the field and turning his back on play only for the opposition to score.

Sloppy journalism as ever by the BBC. Just for balance they’re always quick to point out that the new Georgian president once played for City.I think I know why, the official list reads
