Joe Hart contract extension?

Great news........although,imo,he isn't the very best......He is certainly plenty good enough and he knows what makes this club tick,we will hopefully benefit from his peak years.

On a side note,i believe,in the shape of Forster,he has serious competition for the England jersey.

Making him "the world’s highest-paid keeper" (according to The Mirror) sounds worrying. If it's the case, then we are not paying him for his ability alone, rather his nationality.

well this has to be taken into context , all the other members of our teams spine - kompany , Aguero , Silva , Yaya are paid more and rightly so

of course when a contract is renewed , it would be only be on better terms wouldn't it ?

I am happy for Hart and he is definitely coming back into his own and hope he continues to do so !

Worlds highest paid keeper when he isn't even in the top 5 keepers in the world and when Chelsea have a better keeper sat on their bench

yeah but could the chelsea keeper drop the ball in the lap of the one on the bench under no pressure 9/10 times ?

Happy if the contract is renewed, even though there is better keepers out there who would be cheaper. The homegrown rule is quite ridiculous, all the english players that aren't completely shit is being sold for and paid obscene amounts in comparison to much better players from other eu-countries. Hart is plenty good enough to be starting for the english champions though.

Obviously the club finds his wages justified, so that's it really. Glad to have him with us, but a world class keeper he isn't. Yet.

Who's the second best British keeper? Forster? What wages is he on I wonder, just out of curiosity.

Great news and brilliant business by City.

If other clubs could afford to do this they would. We are paying for a top quality keeper who performs on the pitch and is a great ambassador off it. Im convinced Joe is going to become a great at our club, please dont be swayed by our jealous detractors- there are plenty of them about and if he had a Liverpool or Rag jersey on he would be heaped with praise every week- even after the odd mistake.

Joe loves our club, he stands up for City whenever he feels he has too and he could have gone elsewhere remember but he wanted to come to us and stay and fight for his place.

Well done Khaldoon for another piece of fantastic business!

Since when do we believe the figures the press come up with?

Since it's the evil Joe Hart who is secretly a non league goalkeeper and is leeching the club for wages they are happy to offer him.
