As I have said in the other Joe Hart thread I have my doubts on whether he is top quality but I do support the decision in extending his contract. If he does match Neuer's achievements and better them, then I will eat a huge slice of humble pie.
Not sure there'll be much left by the time it gets to you Ray.

There is time for it to bake GdB.

Joe Hart Big Money New Deal

Although I am a big fan of Joe Hart and his commitment to this club even before the takeover and every since he come from Shrewsbury in 2006. The new deal he's getting seems a little bit disproportionate to his performances in the last year and a half. But he does deserve a new deal but should he be paid 165,000 pounds a week. Seems to be a little overpaid in his terms of worth. But he's always come thru in clutch and I wouldn't want any other keeper replacing him.

It's the price of modern football,he's a top keeper, maybe the best in the league and add to the fact that he's English,he's well worth it.

Where did these figures come from ?? The last I heard was his current salary was £80K a week and would be rising by a whopping 50%,taking it to an impressive £120K per week.
Is someone now saying he has doubled his weekly salary ???

The performance related bonuses might of been taken into consideration. Hart and the rest will only see those types of figures if we keep winning the trophies.

He's being paid more than Neuer, who's superior to him in every way and would transform our team if he played for us. If the sums are correct it's beyond ridiculous.

Yes Ray I understand the bonus related payments but at an extra £40K a week for winning something, surely we wouldn`t be able to afford those sort of figures to all and sundry, who have signed a new contract, would we ?
Only asking not arguing mate.
Actually on reflection mate, yes we probably could as I think I`ve added too many bastard noughts in my calculations. ;)

It's 120,000 pounds a week plus bonuses and image rights which will rise to 165,000 a week over 5 years.
