Last days that lasted for another 3 years. I seem to recall Vinny and Silva being amongst those players. Are they next on the hit list?

If they follow the managers plans they can stay but Vinny especially if he keeps getting injured time to move him on. We have to stop thinking like a small family club now we are super power in world football. Legends fair enough send them to New York on fat wages or give them comfy back office jobs but we want players that will do what the manager requires.

And me. Goalies are meant to keep goals out... He does this better than most.

Better than most is no longer good enough for any of our players. We are aiming for 'nobody obviously better'. We are nowhere near the best in Europe and we want to be the very best. That means SIGNIFICANT improvements - we've done that with the manager (hopefully), and we are doing that with the tactics and workrate (hopefully), but we can't escape the obvious - needing to do that with players too.

In an ideal world, Pep would work his magic on every current player, they'd all fall in love with City and become the new improved Barcelona and the entire would would marvel at us. Or... we could take off our sky blue glasses and say 'he's good, but not THAT good', or 'he's been a great, but it's time to let go' or 'having the skill is great, but without the workrate it's not enough'. I'm not talking specifically about Hart here, but any player. What we currently have is not good enough to win CL. It's not even good enough to win the PL consistently. Things have to change, and we'll just have to go along with Pep's judgment.

All of that said, I'm not in the 'Pep is God' camp. He will make mistakes. Ferguson did. Paisley did (though not many!), Clough did. Chances are, he won't be able to make us Barca in 3 years. But hopefully he'll get us as close as anybody else possibly could, ready for the next guy to get us closer still.

Mostly agree with that, but we're not a superpower. We want to be though, and I think we can become so, but right now, we're not. Not even close.

He looks absolutely miserable as it gets on the tunnel cam
As to be expected obviously but really doesnt look very good. Pretty much ignored eye contact with everyone

I just find it very hard to believe that people believe this is some kind of excuse to jump on the guys back, when he and a few others, went with there tails between there legs to Mubarak and threatened to walk if he didn't get the boot... It's common knowledge.... that dressing room has had its last days of being dictated to by player power, and rightly so....
This all gets me very excited. I think what you're alluding to was there for all to see on the pitch last season and we were lucky to get away with 4th place and capital one cup.
Some big changes needed and we've got the best man for the job

If you believe Pep's disrespected Hart by not making him part of the club's plans moving forward do sod off with Hart to his next club and support that club as well.. Vastly overrated and not an elite GK even and prolly suits Everton. He's not doing us a favour by playing for us and we owe him nothing;its his job and is well payed. Players come and go,our club must move to the next level..Glad we'll become ruthless under Pep now.

Posters don't like it when he smiles and laughs, the boy can't win
If it was me and I was in Joes situation I'd have done my best to show a unified front for the team. It is after all a squad game these days.

Hear hear. That should be the end of the thread.
