It does seem that whenever Joe has been subject to greater than usual scrutiny from Pep, he's made mistakes. That 1-3 against Bayern in 2013 will have created a poor initial impression. Pep will obviously have watched his performances during the Euros with interest. That soft goal against Arsenal will not have helped his cause.

Pep probably doesn't believe that he's good enough, or consistent enough, as a shot stopper to make up for his deficiencies with the ball at his feet. He probably sees him as a keeper who is capable of occasional brilliant performances but also too prone to bad spells.

No need for all that smear nonsense. There was no need it for it with Mancini and no need for it now with Hart. Pep wants to build a team entirely in his image that's fine and he has the mandate to do so just get on with it without resorting to any tedious smear bollocks.

Smear?

He was one of the main protagonists behind the Mancini flaunting..

There's no smear from me, he's an average keeper and that's that!!

Why is saying he should leave as a legend flapping? do you dismiss his achievements when he has gone? that is a nonsense,he will always be a big part in our best years,be gracious and say thanks and goodbye

Not at all, I love Joe Hart and am dismayed to see him leaving, but it is what it is. No player is bigger than the club.

That Joe will leave a legend has always been assured. He's a legend. His running, arms outstretched after the Aguero goal is immortal, statue worthy even. But beyond that he's been a key part of our success for years, our engine, our Hart/Heart.

Noone is denying that at all. Nor is anyone denying him his thanks, except for a few assholes who appear to be trolling. What I am saying though is that it's Pep's call and we all have to move on. It was going to happen some time, why not now?

Thanks Zin I remember your intel on Mario so will never doubt your word. I think think he is a cocky player who is not very good in the air, on his feet, distributing the ball, low shots.
His only strength seems to be shot blocking.

What did he do to Bobby?

We are in agreement then,if he has to go so be it

If I felt that Joe had been given a fair chance by Guardiola I would say ok, let him go, but he has only played one game for Guardiola and that was not in the PL. As I said when Guardiola was appointed I'll support him because he is our Manager but I am not going to say that he is the greatest manager in the world until he proves it with City. So I have/am giving him respect, but I don't feel that he is giving Joe respect. The way Guardiola has backed Sterling, when the media had it in for him, was superb but the media also had it in for Joe after the England fiasco and he has not come out and backed Joe.

And before you say respect has to be earned, that works both ways. Joe has to earn Guardiola's respect and vice versa. IMHO
Guardiola does not have to earn anyone's respect.

And he's played in two games and taken part in training every day.

This is all his own doing... Personally, I couldn't care less, however, regardless of what he has and hasn't done, he's a flawed keeper and overrated, imo!!

Exactly my feelings, being English is the best thing that ever happened to his career.

Seems like a egomaniac and has always struck me as having a very low footballing IQ IMO obviously.

I just find it very hard to believe that people believe this is some kind of excuse to jump on the guys back, when he and a few others, went with there tails between there legs to Mubarak and threatened to walk if he didn't get the boot... It's common knowledge.... that dressing room has had its last days of being dictated to by player power, and rightly so....
