The second part is my point though; the better player. If Aguero turned around and called Pep a slaphead shitbag I doubt he'd play tomorrow, doesn't change his impact on the team though.

Caballero is not a better 'keeper than Hart just because Pep picked him to play.

Just like Bony is not a better player than Iheanacho because Pellegrini picked him to play.

Absolutely spot on. Just been discussing this. It's not about who's best just because one is picked and the other isn't.

Nothing wrong with fans getting emotional. Hart has been a constant for the last 6 years so yeah it would be surprising if some weren't upset by it.

I'm not a huge Hart fan and see what Pep is trying to do but it's still a shame.

I agree.

I understand the reasoning completely re footwork & tbh also understand to some extent the criticisms of Hart's keeping in recent times (although goalkeeping is not my area at all) but he is forever a City legend, right up there with those of the past.

Myself, I don't even like his persona or his friends as shown in the media, but that will never diminish the fact that he is a legend, forever, & I wish he could be the right man for our future.

joe's good enough to get into any premiership team so he'l be snapped up pretty quick i would think, i hope he goes to spain or italy so he's off the radar for a while

Sssooooooooo........just to recap:

1. Joe's still a good keeper - something to do with golden gloves....?
2. Not good enough with his feet for Guardiola - appears to be universally accepted now, even by @karen7
3. He's a bit of a **** to TV sets, but only by punching them as if he tried to kick one he'd probably miss it.
4. Has a tendency to get a tad over excited before big matches and do some shouting, punching lockers. Once again, a tendency to be violent to inanimate objects.
5. One of the gang that got Mancini sacked.
6. Shite with shots low to his left.....

Owt else?

according to posts on here

7. mates with rooney
8. likes to party

I'll be sad to see Hart go, if indeed he does leave. He's been an excellent goalkeeper for us, and an integral part of our most successful ever side. Got to trust Guardiola's judgement though, and let him mould his own team.

Still not convinced Hart will leave in this window though, even when Bravo arrives. Can't see us using up a foreign spot on Caballero as back up keeper.

Harts days are numbered as first choice here, Bravo wont be leaving Barca to apply pressure or something like that. Might as well stay at Barca in that case.

Bravo is upgrade IMO. Certainly in Peps system

so when vincent leaves you wont be upset ? or aguero or when colin bell returned. it doesnt make any difference if your over 16 most football fans form attachments to players, especially long serving ones. ( success help of course

I agree with you, but I do understand what he's getting at, and he's right. We DO get attached, and shouldn't really. We all know that players come and go, and there's an end to every player no matter how great or much loved. I think that was his point really.
Still, being daft about a football club is madness when you think about it, but we all suffer from it!
