I want Joe to stay and fight for his position but what will be will be. It is quite a surprise out of all the players though he's the biggest casualty of pep coming.

New to the Forum,

Been a fan all my life obviously with my old man being one and although I haven't endured what a lot of people have who are a good few years my senior, at 24 one of my fondest memories growing up being our DIV 2 play-off win against Gillingham with Dickov and Weaver being our Hero's. As I've seen us progress one player I've always admired and held in high regard is Joe Hart. 10 Years of service we have seen him grow into one of the best goalkeepers in the World, and although his distribution and decision making can be sometimes called into question nobody can doubt his presence between the sticks, leadership qualities and shot stopping abilities. Yes he has made mistakes , as every goalkeeper and player has but I feel he has more than atoned for those errors with the many games he has saved our skin with his man of the match performances.

Yes it's a new era, with Pep and his style of play I like many am very excited for the seasons ahead. But I do feel maybe Pep should give Joe more time to bring him back down to earth and instead of dismissing his style of play and moving him on when in his prime. Spend the time coaching him, to buy into his style of play and bring the best out of him. I for one would be very sad to see Joe go..
I cant see why any City fan would be happy to see Joe leave, he has been a great servant to our club, and played a massive part of our rise, will be a sad day when Joe leaves our club, now or in 5 years.

Are Sevilla actually interested?...Thought Sergio Rico was coming along nicely
Sevilla are searching for a keeper as their no.2 is injured. I can see why a loan deal would appeal to them but i doubt if Hart or Rico would be happy sitting on the bench. Maybe they plan to alternate like Barca did with Stegen and Bravo? From what i have seen Sampaoli also prefers a possession based attacking style playing out from the back. This Sevilla team looks very different to last seasons.

I like the idea of Hart going on loan to improve his passing skills, and I like even more the idea of i, if Pep suggested it to him to keep his long term future with City. But I suspect the reality is that loans are only being considered because of the lack of time left in the transfer window to get the right move for him. It obviously has come out of the blue for him and his advisers.

Absolutely.

That would be perfect. It could also be that he's hoping Pep loses every game, gets fired & we get some bog standard trog manager in, who doesn't care about passing though ;)

Agreed. A loan move to Sevilla could be the making of him. It was interesting hearing Neville on Monday Night Football talk about the Spanish approach to goal keepers in training and how they join in all the outfield drills and are key to everything the team does. Very much what Pep is doing at City.

If Joe were to go there for a season he could become used to this style of football and I'm sure would be a better keeper for it. Sevilla are in the Champions League so Hart would still be playing at the highest level and keep him in the reckoning for England... I'm sure Allardyce would love an excuse for a jolly to Spain to watch him.

It would also show great commitment on his part to want to learn, which should go down well at City, assuming of course that his relationship with Guardiola is not damaged beyond repair....

God, that felt good. I've not done that (Oo-err) in ages.

If the BBC report on Hart seeking a loan move is true, then all I can say, is if it is really true, then he's welcome to leave permanently as far as I'm concerned.

The last thing Pep needs is a player (possibly Kompany too because of unreliable fitness) who might create a bad atmosphere within the squad, because they are no longer shoe-ins for each game.

I'm confident the board will give Pep 100% backing and will be willing to sell both Hart and Kompany if he recommends this. There will be no individual player allowed to dictate to Pep whether or not they play, this is the way all football teams should be managed.

Yeah just seen that Soria(23 years old) played in the Europa league and Beto left this season. So they lack experience in that position and does seem like they rotate keepers, well at least Emery did.
Joe should go there and win the Europa league after finishing 3rd in their Champions league group aha. Also their keepers averaged around 70% distribution success last season so it could help Joe improve that part of his game, rather than going to Everton and lumping it up to Lukaku.
