I've heard some scraps and seen/read enough to form a view on what I think has happened here.

Ian Cheeseman suggested it was about personality rather than ability and what I've heard supports that. The club have been well aware of these issues for a while and obviously Pep has as well.

I reckon he's been pretty certain these are bad enough to warrant getting rid but, whether for personal reasons or at the request of the club, he's not been prepared to do anything final until he actually works with Joe. I've thought that's a smokescreen but it might have been genuine.

Having worked with him, Pep's confirmed that any positives aren't enough to justify keeping him so we've moved for a new keeper with Joe on his bike.

All this stuff about the door being open if he wants to fight for his place is nonsense as Pep knows that he'll not be able to do that. The British Olympic Association could assure me that I could go to Tokyo 2020 if I can run 100m in less than 10 seconds bit it just isn't going to happen.

So he's out. Full stop, end of story. The press reports are just posturing.

What is your time for the 100m Colin, are you close to sub 10 seconds??!!

Fed up of reading about it/hearing about it now, I will go with what Pep thinks best

This times 1000. That's why him going needs to be permenant . We can't have this again.we have started the season well, with stones settling really well kolorov and sterling looking reborn. All that's in the papers is this sideshow . He is not even playing ffs.

We need to start with positives not this, sorry joe thank you, been a legend but time to go I am afraid.

For various reasons I'm disappointed that Joe is going and seemingly hasn't been given a decent crack under Pep but we probably need to draw a line under this ASAP and move on. Ultimately, as long as bringing in Bravo as number one means we perform better as a team and are more successful then that's pretty much all that matters. Just hope Joe doesn't go to Liverpool as then I would be forced to instantly want him to fail and would rather he went with my best wishes.

Here's the devastating footage of Joe and Pep fighting

Really intense stuff there...

"Fascinating.. the body language there.."

Easiest fucking job in the world sports media. Don't know anything quite like it. Presenters, journalists, commentators, pundits. The lowest of low bars.
