SSN now saying Hart might play tomorrow.
If he did, that would be game set & match for PEP vs Media regards Hart.

Pep has made all the right noises,
Stay & learn, door is not closed, I'll make him a better keeper etc.
Then if he gives him a run out tomorrow, all he's said is all protecting himself, the club, the team and Hart.

Desperation in the media to kick up a fuss will all look pretty silly.

I'm assuming he'll move with all the good will in the World from fans & club alike.

I really hope this doesnt turn in to a bitter saga. I, and Im sure most on here, wish Joe all the best. I know hes paid a shitload, but it must still hurt to be at a club for so long and in the space of a few weeks youre told youre out.
As for the media clips, Hart will be pissed off and Pep wants him gone, id be surprised if they were joking and hugging, but it didnt look out of the ordinary for the situation. Just hope something is resolved soon.

I've heard some scraps and seen/read enough to form a view on what I think has happened here.

Ian Cheeseman suggested it was about personality rather than ability
and what I've heard supports that. The club have been well aware of these issues for a while and obviously Pep has as well.

I reckon he's been pretty certain these are bad enough to warrant getting rid but, whether for personal reasons or at the request of the club, he's not been prepared to do anything final until he actually works with Joe. I've thought that's a smokescreen but it might have been genuine.

Having worked with him, Pep's confirmed that any positives aren't enough to justify keeping him so we've moved for a new keeper with Joe on his bike.

All this stuff about the door being open if he wants to fight for his place is nonsense as Pep knows that he'll not be able to do that. The British Olympic Association could assure me that I could go to Tokyo 2020 if I can run 100m in less than 10 seconds bit it just isn't going to happen.

So he's out. Full stop, end of story. The press reports are just posturing.

I don't really believe that. I reckon that's just an assumption based on the incorrect view that 'Hart is no worse with his feet than Caballero'

Guardiola said he has a chance of playing a press conference. SSN will be desperately trying to spin it.

Not really, tomorrow is a nothing game. If he plays a handful of kids tomorrow as well as Hart, which is very possible, then it could just reflect his current standing. You play the kids when there's nothing to lose, he'll probably take the same attitude with Hart.

Pep could lace up a pair of boots himself tomorrow and we'd still dick them.

Will our registered squad not mean it's more fringe/squad players than kids?

I think we'll see Mafeo & Iheanacho start and perhaps Tosin at some point

if it is seen as a run out for the squad, Hart may get his run. This is what Pep has said all along.

No chance he plays tomorrow.
What if bucharest have the game of their lives and have lots of shots on goal and joe makes loads of good saves and keeps a clean sheet as well as making a big effort to pass it out from the back.
Some fans are already trying to pressure pep in to keeping him. This would make it worse.

Much ado about nothing.
