Joe Hart

I came to the same conclusion tonight. At the start of the season the Shay/Hart decision was 50/50 for me and I really felt for Mancini who could only choose one of them.

Turns out the boy done good (Mancini and Hart for that matter) and it looks like we'll have England's No.1 between the sticks for the next 10 years.

Well done Mancini and Hart.

But with Joe i dont think you can tell him too much, hes fucking bonkers! And to be a great keeper you have to be mental!

And i knew he was going to be great when a couple of years ago palacios did the worst dive you will ever see and zaki had the penny at the JJB and as he was preparing himself to take it Joe hart is jumping in the air screaming at the guy! iv never seen anything like it the lad is bonkers and this just sums him up.

Its not cockeyness it confidence pal and he is full to the brim of it these days!

There's a slim line seperating confidence from cockyness and the he was borderline tonight when he was pissing about. To be a good keeper you need to be confident, but there needs to be someone to show him where the line is because he's 23, making more money than he's ever dreamed of and is starting for the English team, there needs to be someone to make sure he stays grounded and being over confident as a keeper can end disastrously.

Is that why we've kept Shay...?

Yes, his ambition in life is to keep Hart from becomming arrogant and cocky.

I think we might have kept Shay because he's a top class keeper, something this evening has shown, yet again.

shay was on same flight from timisaora as us to munich and he has to go there every month for an injection into his back, don't know what problem is, but maybe that has influenced mancini's choice, don't get me wrong shay is top quality, but if he has a back problem and not to mention his shoulder injury at arsenal what is his long term, even short term, he's 34 i think, future playing at the top level ?

there is a long season ahead but hart is doing the biz and i hope he carries it on all season looking top quality at the moment.

One thing about Joe Harts competive debut is that I don't think we owe Shrewsbury any more money in add ons do we?
