Joe Hart

kind of a different topic but I thought he was awful yesterday. Didn't get a good punch on the ball that led to the goal and kicked the ball out of play half the time.

The commentary said 'flapped' at the ball. He didn't flap it, he just didn't give it a good thump. Trautmann would have caught it one handed, with his left! De Gea would have been given a free kick!

I'm surprised at you; I'd have thought you would have said that Ewing would have cleared the ball (and the forward!) with a thumping header?

It's really NOT bollocks, his kicking has been awful for his class of keeper and is something he really needs to work on.

As someone else said, 50% of his kicks end up with the opposition, if not more.

Oh and by the way, Joe is one of my favourite City players, so I certainly don't have anything against him.
If we kick the ball up to small midfielders and strikers (very few over 6ft) against centre halfs, this is bound to happen.

This is why we play out from the back unless we have little option but to play it forward.

I think joe is awesome, he is having a few more wobbles than normal, but he still the best keeper in the league.

Nothing to worry about, carry on

Can't seem to find it online but does anyone have the stats for clean sheets by goalkeeper. All i can find is by club which the rags are ahead with 18 to our 14 as of today.

I think hart is in the lead for the golden gloves award again

edit: just found out

Hart:14
Krul: 13
Vorm: 13
Szczęsny: 12
Brad Friedel: 12
Reina:12
De donut: 11

So if joe keeps 3 clean sheets he win the golden gloves award for the second year in a row. Not bad for only his 2nd season as our first choice goalkeeper

One excellent save but yes not his best game by any means.

Having seen all of the keepers this season in the premiership I have to say he is one of the worst in his kicking forward to position or a contest when under limited pressure from the running opposition forward.

Its no coincidence that our mixed away form since QPR has coincided with a drop in Harts form since then.

Meh his kicking wasn't as good but it happens, he did well Saturday considering Norwich we're allowed to harass him everytime a cross or corner came in the box

He had a pretty poor game but it happens

yes it happens more times than most on here would admit

Don't talk bollocks! Sometimes some of the shit I read on here makes me wonder if people actually watch our games, either that or they know fuck all about football. That is all

-- Mon Apr 16, 2012 5:15 pm --

One mistake. His punch should have been further and unluckily it fell to one of thier's.

It's bollocks about his kicking. Harts kicking has been spot on for months. It's just people 'hunting' for issues.

He has kept us in many games more games than i like to remember and for me is easily the best keeper in the league and probably one of the best in Europe.

I love Hart, and people who want to 'take issue' with him are extrememly misguided. Seems a great lad who enjoying his football and is playing excellently.

^This is more like it. Well said that man

Best keeper in the country has won us countless games this year, big shout for player of the year and you start to criticise the lad? Unbelievable. Give your head a wobble.

for example wich ones ?

I'll tell you what, you tell me the points he's cost us.

People need to remember in goalkeeping terms Joe is still young.

In two or three more years with a bit more experience he will be one of, if not the best in the world.
