Joe is lucky that we have a new manager, otherwise he'd probably have been dropped already, as Platt already said that Mancini was looking to replace him.

He needs to take this opportunity to show that mistakes made last year were a one off.....and he hasn't made the best start doing that.

Platt has already said he was misquoted, that Begovic was being lined up as a no.2.

Begovic doesn't like benches.

Complete overreaction.....

If he had saved the first it would have been described as a world class save....right in the corner and a hell of a lot of power...the third again even though it was near post it was from near in and struck exrremely well

Being used as a scapegoat by fans unablevto accept that poor tactics lost us the game....nothing said about a couple of decent saves he did make.

And as for the media...criticisms of englsnd goalkeepers is pretty standard....funny thing is is thet joe hart is probably the only truely world class player in the whole england set up ( ashley cole maybe the other)
But he didn't save either the first or third and ultimately they were both just well hit shots, low to his near side. A keeper at the top of his game with the right mentality would have kept them out and that's the worry. Not that he's a poor goalkeeper just that right now his confidence is shot and we can't afford to have a goalkeeper playing with a shadow hanging over him.
Those thinking this is a small blip need to wake up and smell the coffee - over a 12 month period he's been average at best. For a team with genuine title aspirations and hopes of domestic silverware (not going to mention CL because we're miles away at the moment) our keeper needs to be solid. Right now I don't think we can say that.

Is this the same Joe Hart who has won the golden glove award for the past three seasons, yeah he's fucking shite!

I don't think people are sayin he's shit . He's an obviuos tallant that has been off form for a while and needs to be benched so pantillimon can have a few games . That's only fair IMO . He hasn't played well therefore someone else should get a run out . How pissed off must pantillimon be that he still isn't being given a chance ?.

Yeah and if Richards had connected with that over head kick it would have been goal of the season.

That’s irrelevant. The comment was that Platt had said Mancini was lining up a replacement for Hart, which just isn’t true and has been covered nearly as much as barms and muffins on this forum in the past 2 months.

interesting to hear what bob wilson said on five live last night , he stated he could study every single premiership keeper this season and they have probably made more mistakes than joe , but joes mistakes and magnified due to be at a top 3 club and current england number one , does he have a point ? Personally i think pantilimon deserves a chance , give time for joe to get his form back in training , but we must also take into consideration our defence is suspect this season , zabs, clichy, nastasic, komps have all contributed to some diabolical defending this season. Just a pity the media witch hunt will tear joe to pieces for the next few months , but a price worth paying because when he recovers his form , Joe hart is the best keeper in the world when he is at his best.

??? I am sorry mate. Totally disagree. He may not have made the most errors but his were game changers. If he wants a place in top team (which city aspires to be) than he should never be discussed in terms like that. With keepers confidence is a key commodity. And he has none. In my opinion never will. He will always doubt himself now unless he goes to a different team. Have you watech Neuer yesterday? massive presence. Great outside the box, very good in the air and perhaps the best shot stopper I have seen. But you are right with the defence .... non-existent. Clichy actually stopped running at one point just waiting for the offside flag!

You've got to be kidding thinking that he needs to go to another team to get his confidence back. Unless you mean that our defence are shite so he needs a different group of defenders because he doesn't trust ours anymore.

A keeper needs confidence in the people around him as well as in himself.

2 of our 3 defeats were down to shocking defending as a team!

The rot may have started around the time somebody went back on their word and left pantilimon out of cup final team. A bad decision if ever I saw one and we've suffered for it as a team since.if you have two players for every position then surely you both should get an equal crack of the whip?
That just doesn't happen with keepers.

Panty was left out because he wanted out.

No mate. As far as I am concerned he will never be a world class keeper. I will eat my hat if he does. But he has been consistent in one thing only over the last year. That is making mistake after mistake. We don't need a super hero just someone who will inspire the team, which essentially he wont. Not here sadly.

any other player in the squad would be dropped if they showed poor form or made mistakes , if joe hart is the keeper i think he is , he will come back stronger , I remember joe corrigan losing confidence and he came back to be a truly brilliant keeper , and i think joe can do the same .So lets see what he is made of , drop him and make him play for his place , its the same for every other squad member , why should hart be guaranteed a pace no matter how he plays?
