Great save - just watched that clip. How did Honda have so much space when we had 2 left full backs on the pitch.
Phewwww........!!!

Took a slight deflection of Clichy before hitting Hart's leg, think it may have gone through his legs otherwise. However, I take nothing away from Joe, fortunate or not he was in exactly the right place and made the save and won us 2 points.

He did what a keeper should do in a situation like this. He made himself big and made the target small. It was a class block save.

I'm a bit old-fashioned and wish he'd sometimes stay closer to his line when things come charging at him, for example, for their goal. Can't fault him for that late stop, though.

did what great keepers do and what he has done for us many times

still think Panty should be used as well though to push Joe along

Well, found the replay. Looks like it was struck directly at his leg, but I suppose you could argue that Joe was exactly where he should have been.

Straight at him or not, he still made the save...

...unlike "The Doughnut Thief" in the derby when he had a couple "struck directly at" him.

Who said it isn't a save?

Great to see joe back to his best , the last few city and england games have been a big test , and he has come through with flying colours , the media are analysing every single aspect of his game , and he is proving them wrong , i think baconface once said a great goalkeeper is worth 12 points a season , joe could win us the league if he continues his great form ,

did anyone else notice that he has changed his style when collecting shots that are along the ground straight at him? before he always had his legs a yard apart, but last night I noticed he kept his legs together as a barrier. Was it the west ham game last season where Carroll put it between his legs?
