Joe Hart

Thing with Joe is although he was absolutely great for us and Birmingham in that loan spell and got plenty of unfair criticisms, all due to being England no.1 but he only has himself to blame for his career trajectory... He is comfortably a better goalkeeper at his very best than any current English keeper but he clearly sulked after Pep dropped him, he went the Paul Robinson route a fantastically talented goalkeeper who should be breaking Peter Shilton's England record... He got mentally exhausted though and never came back fighting, Joe either lacks the eye of the tiger hunger or is mentally weak sorry to say, his attitudes seems to be woe is me instead of grabbing whatever he wants in football by the bollocks.

David James by Hart's age had only just started to show the best of his career after being absolutely assassinated by the English press, yet he carved out a fantastic later stages of his football career... Joe was 2 times the keeper Kasper Schmeichel could ever be at one point, so what happened? He was too busy thinking he's the man and then when he fell down after beating in the press, he didn't get back up and dust himself off knuckle down and get on with it like Kasper.

I'm extremely disappointed in Joe cos I know how good he can be and when I saw mongy rags slag him off it used to make me laugh, however Joe is giving them genuine ammunition with how his career spiralled... The Joe Hart against Spurs or Dortmund or Barcelona or many other games is was a world class goalkeeper but he let himself go and die mentally, I'd love if there was still something burning inside him but he needs to move to a club with an organised defence, a club who'd give him a chance to be number one regardless of the level and start enjoying football... He should've seeked a move to Rangers when they first promoted now that ship sailed and nobody genuinely wants to take a chance, he needs to retire and become a pundit or try to come back with a vengeance in a lower division or lesser league but I don't think he has the guts/desire to prove owt and that the eye of the tiger is gone.
Some deep thinking there

Maybe so but was brilliant for city, distribution not that good but made great saves when called upon.
He was an intrinsic part of the 2012 Premiership winning season.

If he hadn't made that fantastic one handed save v villa, a game we won 1-0 then..... well who knows.

Will go down in City folklore as a great keeper. Maybe not the greatest but a true legend.

Yep, can't help but not think Joe was a great keeper it truly bothers me he never carried on at his best, plus if he would've knuckled down would the Euro final result be any different with England? Maybe not but he genuinely at his peak could've been the key difference in that match.

He was wanted by Juventus when Pep told him he had no future but wouldn't accept the bench for UCL games, even with Buffon recommend they sign him he didn't wanna lose his England place, he wanted guaranteed 1st team football so basically went on a trial run of living in Turin for Torino, Buffon had already told Juventus he was leaving a season prior which is why they wanted him... If he had a better loan spell there he'd definitely have been signed by Juve.
Joe started off well at Torino but the wheels fell off half way though the season mistake after mistake, Sczezesny impressed in Buffon's last season Hart got dropped by England I think everything totally broke him.

Joe despite that with what he had ability wise he should've easily bounced back, no goalkeeper is truly finished at 28 without bad injuries so he must've just caved in to the pressure... Maybe the constant criticisms got to him but he should still be at or close to the peak of his powers.

I love Joe Hart for his time here but he defo has to take a long hard look at himself in the mirror, dandruff free or not he let his head fall off his shoulders.

Not officially I don't think but with Spurs signing a keeper the end is sadly probs in sight for him there.
We will take him. Always thought he was a brilliant keeper. Just lost his way a bit. He would never come to us, and we couldn't afford his wages, but, if we could I would take him. Right now, we would be better with a fucking scarecrow between the posts. I wish that was a joke.

Sadly I think Pep would never take him back after the infamous "I don't need to learn how to kick" fiasco from Joe I think Pep thinks he's bigheaded, we've signed Scott Carson too so unless Steffan is sold it doesn't look likely even then would Joe or Scott be safe backup if worst happened to Ederson... I don't think so personally with lack of football.

There must be something left in him but he hasn't played 1st team football for a long time too long for a Prem team to take the risk, wouldn't be surprised if he carries on picking up a wage for a Scott Carson type role... I'd like to see him playing again though even in the Championship
