Joe Hart

We don't have a defence yet. We are in the process of trying to sign it. Been a lot more talk of him arriving. I hope it happens, but I wont hold my breath though.
Thought young Murray played well from what I saw but can you rely on him all season for Europe and a title push? I'm not so sure.

Fingers crossed you manage to get some things over the line so or you'll be aging 40 years this season lad!

40? Try 80.

There is a player in young Murray, but youre bang on, we can't rely on him.

Never quite got the hate Joe gets from a lot of City supporters, he really was a major part in the clubs early success following the takeover.

It seems to me that goalkeeping is as much about the mental side of the sport as anything else and when you lose that edge its really hard to get it back. Hopefully a move to Scotland will help him play on for many years.

I never knew the story with Hart, so it's always intrigued me. Ever since the 3-2 win against Southampton at the start of the 12/13 season he was in a slow decline. People gave Pep shit but forget that he was dropped on two separate occasions by Pellegrini.

Whatever it is/was I hope he can put it behind him.

I lived for a time in the US and had the chance to follow some baseball there and goalkeepers seem alot like closers in baseball, once you start losing that confidence it can be really hard to recover and there really doesn't have to be a story, it just is. Ironically it happened to Bravo at city the following year.

Good analogy. Both are roles where you can't get away with even 1 mistake. I can see how the confidence collapses.

what makes the dynamic interesting to see in baseball is that they play 6 games a week, so as a closer your career can be over with a bad run in a couple of weeks, with football as you point out Joe's fall from grace was something that took a much longer period of time but baseball plays a third of a football season in 2 weeks!

Never heard any hate for Joe.
