Joe Hart

Was fantastic for us but Pep was spot on getting rid. Hope he can find some form and gain a number 1 shirt somewhere for the last few years of his career, would be great to see him playing again. He’s already got a pundit job secured for when he does retire so that’s another blue in the media

In place of Danny Gobshite? Michael Owen? Macamanananamamamamamamamananamanam? Barnes? Danny Gobshite The Second? Replacing any one of 'em would do for me!

Yeah, an integral part of our rise to success. Don't know what happened with him, really. Pep obviously didn't have him in his plans, maybe Joe's confidence was shot after that?

He'll always be a City legend, big Joe - like his namesake Corrigan: part of the family.
Eh? Hart and Corrigan are totally different names.

David Preece, who is a goalkeeping coach who occasionally does the rounds on the podcasts, media said that Hart's problems were/are pretty much all to do with his work ethic.

As Preece tells it, Joe came through with Massimo Battara, Mancini's goalkeeping coach, who used to really crack the whip and force him to spend a lot of time working on the weak parts of his game. Battara was like Mancini a strict old-school italian coach and Joe being a nobody when he first met him was very much done what he was told, and the two of them were very successful in turning Hart into the keeper he was around 2011-2013.

When Battara left and our current coach, Xabi Mancisidor came in, Hart was the starting keeper with titles under his belt and England #1 and pretty much decided he could dictate what he worked on in training and started ignoring the weak areas of his game and parts of training he didn't like but was forced to do under the stricter Battara.

And this pretty much lead to him being the player he was after that - making lots of great reflex saves, but also loads of blunders.

I think as fans we under-reacted at the time to the fact Pellegrini dropped him twice for complacency. Looking back, what other top keepers get dropped like that? No one.

Weird how so so many blues were "ITK" about the whys and wherefores of Joe's "problems" off the pitch and so keen to stick the boot in.
Same ones that battered Bobby with we know stuff but we are not going to tell you but it is bad,i was told as soon as Joe left us the papers would be full straight away with all the secret stuff,it was bollocks
He obviously didn't expect his life to change,he was committed to us for the rest of his career, when the best manager in the world doesn't rate you that has got to hurt and finding yourself at some outfit in another country
I really can't understand why people feel the need to slag him off

And here we are years later and none the wiser to these deep lying personal problems that culminated in his exit and career decline.

Feel a bit sorry for him but, if he is sensible, he should be set for life with what he has earned and he has quite a few medals to polish.

33 is not old for a keeper but I guess he must be thinking of jacking it in as getting binned by West Ham and Burnley must hurt.

Because some people - including city fans - are self righteous dicks

It was all on here at one point. The problem is that some people don't want to believe it. That's their problem, not the ones who do know.
I’ll be honest mate I’ve no idea the reasons behind joe’s downfall but it must’ve been something major!!, your obv more in the know than most :)

Never recovered from shagging Katie Price or not being able to dive to his left.

Shit house person, shit house keeper.

Me neither. He is every part as responsible for our success 2011-15 as Yaya, Vinny, Sergio, Silva was.
