Joe Hart

It felt like after 2012 he just became increasingly complacent, and by late 2014 it'll all started to crumble away.

I do wish him well.

He’s got rugby playing public schoolboy written all over him. I’ve never been convinced by all this Joe crap either. His first name is Charles.

I recall saying even in Joe's best times that his kicking was a major flaw in his game. How many times did we see him boot it into touch when misdirecting a clearance upfield?
The genius that is Pep didn't have to be the genius that is Pep to spot this straight away. There had to be a clear sign that Joe couldn't (or wouldn't) change his game, hence Pep ditching him pretty quickly. Other managers have since acted in a similar manner, so Joe's demise has been dramatic, if not surprising.
That having been said, it's a shame to see his career nose dive. He was one of a great group of City players who brought us our first major trophies for donkey's years. He also had many tremendous performances for us. Personally I wish him well.

He is and always will be a City legend. I always felt he was one of us.
There have been a few people pushed out of the club that i didn't like the way it was done. However, i do understand why it was done.

Through my business, i'm sometimes privy to seeing these peoples real lives.
I then come on here and see members slating somebody for having a poor game or a rough patch.
Not realising that relationships are breaking up or serious illness effecting family members.
While people are entitled to their opinion, i think they sometimes forget they are real people with real day to day problems.

Was good but now he's Muyyydaaa

Legend for me. Not the best keeper clearly but he was a big part of what we achieved in the early days.

if I were him I would be off to the States or China to earn some big ££ before he hangs up his gloves.
Very good keeper in his prime was joe, Dortmund at home, Barca away amongst many quality performances by him, legend?? not so sure about that mate? Zabba, vinny, David Silva, kdb, sergio, are my legends, not sure joe can sit at the top table with them? only my opinion mind ;)

Head and shoulders above the rest 2011 -15
Never been the same keeper since those adverts. It's as though he's played with soap suds in his eyes ever since. Sorry, but I can't feel to sorry for a multimillionaire keeper who took his eyes off the ball for his career to plummet like it has. So long Joe, you threw away a top career pal. And I'm disappointed we're not talking about Joe Hart as an undisputed world top 5 keeper right now.

I can't understand the criticism and apparent gloating by some here at the demise of Joe Hart and it makes me a little ashamed to be a Blue. What did he do to us to deserve such treatment?

There was a time he was the top keeper in the UK at least and arguably in the top three in the world. I remember him single handedly keeping us in games, including crucial saves in our 2012 and 2014 title winning campaigns, without which we wouldn't have won the title. His form did start to waver towards the end of his time here and for England and since he left us it hasn't really recovered. Who knows why?

Since he left he has had nothing but praise for us and has never bad mouthed us. He will go down in history as part of the group of players who after thirty five barren years got us winning trophies again and helped tear down that hated banner at the swamp. A little bit of respect wouldn't go amiss.

He put in some of the best goalkeeping performances I've ever seen. Spurs (2010), Liverpool (2011), Dortmund (2012), Barcelona (2015)

I agree he was superb in those games, unbelievable performances. He also made some crucial individual saves, not least Everton away in 2014 without which we would have dropped two points in the title run in.

There are some here revelling in his fall from grace and I think they need to have a long hard look at themselves.

Played a huge part in our early success and made some top saves. He had many stand out performances and a couple stick in my for me. Against Dortmund and Real Madrid in Champions league.

Also remember vividly the save against Everton from. Naismith when he got down (surprisingly to his left) in our title winning season and tipped it past the post.

Hope he hangs around the premier league and does a good job for someone and becomes a regular starter again.

Good luck Joe!
My favourite performance was at White Hart Lane on the opening day of the 2010/11 season. Joe was just phenomenal that day. His best save, IMHO, was against Swansea I can’t remember the year, but it was sensational.

Good luck, Joe, wherever your career takes you.

Top goalie and was in the top 4 or 5 for about 3 years but he peaked and declined earlier than normal for a goalkeeper probably because he was on the scene from a very young age. Had his flaws (left hand low was weak) but still was great for us.

Similarities to him and whats happening now with De Gea.

He was ok anyone can remember the good saves also made some right howlers, wouldn’t say he was world class not by a long way
