He is alive...just...he looks rough lads.

So not much to scrape from this in the positive then i assume Chris ?
What happened when he managed you, he didn't get you relegated did he, sorry my mind is like a sieve.

It was the season we went down. I think he was in charge for 25 or so games think we won 4/5 drew 15 n lost the rest.

His ticker gave in so had to stop then Shearer came in and down we went. JFK played his part though.

Its confirmed

Newcastle remind me of us when we were shit, 1 step forward, 10 steps backwards. Just don't think there will ever be a light at the end of tunnel for them.

Sorry Chris but this is exactly what football needed. Things are far too sensible right now. We need dickheads like Holloway and Kinnear to liven things up.

This truly is a terrible, terrible appointment. Will be intriguing and hilarious to see this unfold. IMO he will take over as soon as Pardew gets the sack. Criminally.

Poyet should get the job, or Zola. No need for DOF when you have Stephen Carr. I'd simply promoter him as chief scout and DOF.

-- Tue Jun 18, 2013 12:17 pm --

Sorry Chris but this is exactly what football needed. Things are far too sensible right now. confirmed by Newcastle now according to the bbc

Someone on the BBC article has left a comment where they've said, as Director of Football, they'd have preferred Kevin Keegan, or the Late Sir Bobby Robson. Note, not someone like the late Sir Bobby Robson, actually Sir Bobby Robson. So, it would seem, Joe Kinnear is actually deemed to be worse at this job than a man who died a couple of years ago......

They're probably right.

All you need to do is look at our DoF, and now look at who they've appointed. Txiki is a well respected former player who keeps his head down and does his job with aplomb. Joke In'ere is the complete opposite and anyone who may have respected him, does so no longer after that disastrous interview.
