And today is the anniversary of Big Mal's appointment as Sir Joe's assistant.
As has already been said, he was a brilliant, innovative coach, who knew fitness was the key to success, and had the City players using running machines and receiving massages at Salford University, as well as making them go for long cross-country runs.
It’s nearly 14 years since Malcolm passed away; October 2010. I can’t believe it’s so long ago.
