Joel Ndala

Another example of how the young lads who make it are very often not the ones you might expect, and vice versa

I think physical maturation is huge in young players. Some get it at 16, others it can take till they’re 20 - unfortunately for a lot of the later ones, they’re discarded and disillusioned by the time they’re there physically.

Phil Foden is a great example of a player who took a while to mature physically which is why Pep played a blinder in convincing him to remain patient and accept cameo appearances until he could do himself justice on the pitch for large parts of the game. The vast majority of the media were up in arms over this but I think Pep got it spot on.

Joined Hull on a season long loan.
Tuned in to the Hull game against Coventry as the BBC had him down as starting but he doesn't seem to be on the pitch. Looks like they've made a mess of the line-ups as they have Simms on the bench for Coventry, yet he started. They also have Coventry as the home team despite the match being played in Hull. Typical BBC quality!

The LiveScore app also has him starting and Simms on the bench. Weird.

Hulls live feed has Ndala playing (number 19).

Joel Ndala (Hull City) wins a free kick in the attacking half.

Very weird. Quite a few supposedly on the bench actually started such as Gelhardt and Palmer. Hull have Joao Pedro playing and according to the BBC he didn't even make the bench!

Weirdest is having Coventry down as playing at home!

They are at home, aren’t they?

Can't see a number 19 playing for Hull. They have number 16 Lincoln at LW, which is Ndala's position. Maybe I'm in some kind of parallel universe!

It's in Hull according my TV (watching it on Czech TV). Unless they are somehow showing a game from last season that coincidentally happens to be Hull vs Coventry and kicked off at the same time! Maybe would explain it!
There’s a heck of a lot of Sky Blue shirts in the crowd. Even the seats are sky blue!

Odd as the Hull live feed still seems to think he's playing. No sign of anyone called Lincoln.

Attempt missed. Regan Slater (Hull City) right footed shot from the centre of the box misses to the right. Assisted by Joel Ndala.

Worst thing is my mate is a Coventry fan and he can't watch it and I've been updating him on the game. Before I found out it was the wrong game, I messaged him too let him know they were 1-0 up!

Anyway, sorry for buggering up the Ndala thread.
He got subbed on the 89th minute, the game finished 0-0 for what it's worth :)

Bugger!~. Looks like Czech TV buggered up and are showing the wrong Hull vs Coventry game (a game from a previous season). Apologise to the BBC.

Finished 0-0 too.

Coventry won that game 2-1 last season based on fixtures, so some might've actually thought they won...

Funny as fuck to magine there might be at least one clueless Coventry fan out there, who didn't realise they had a goalless draw and was buzzing over the win, then saying (what a great win/game or) did you see the goals to their bemused mates later on.
