Sergio Aguero is a diving little argentinian #nugget who doesn't deserve to play football again! #fuming

If this has been on Twitter since sentence was passed, then the FA need to look at his conduct once again.
Strange how he admitted to the assault and now claiming Sergio dived !! Bellend of the highest order.

Not sure why Leslie needs an "internal investigation" as if Barton's thuggery wasn't evident enough for the whole world to see.

What are the chances that his 1st game back is against city?!
1 in 19.
They'll be much longer than that if he's playing in The Championship.

Fernandes will, if he's got any bollocks, terminate Barton's contract for gross misconduct. Talk of him attracting a decent transfer fee is grossly exaggerated. This latest episode, alongside Barton's ordinary form last season, will see to that. In fact there is an argument that QPR's best move from a financial point of view would be to terminate Barton's contract and sue him for any loss in value to the club as a result of this incident. Given Barton's comments after the game about the calculated nature of this series of attacks I reckon that course of action would have a reasonable chance of success.

I'm not so sure that sueing him would have any legs in it as Clubs tend to shy away from this sort of thing. I do agree though that Barton no longer has any value in the transfer market. He's a less attractive commodity now than when he was at Newcastle, and they were prepared to write off the £5.5m they paid for him. There were no takers then for a fee, and sure as hell there won't be any now.

I reckon that if QPR can find a case for sacking him for gross misconduct (or similar), then they will.

They won't because they can't unfortunately. Footballers contracts are 100% watertight. He will get paid also!

Pretty sure that's a water tight case for gross misconduct.

They aren't that watertight. There must be some implicit, if not explicit, clause that sez yer have to behave yerself when representing the club. Elbowing somebody, then kicking another and finally sticking the nut on a third, would come into that category. The lawyers and Nobrat will not be out of pocket, but with a bit of luck it'll be another thug out of football.

'Twill be interesting to see if QPR sack him, and he then becomes a free agent in November and some team takes him on.

I think he's got to the end of the footballing road.
