Joey Barton

Talkspurs.. QPR cock saying Tevez should be looked at for his role in the incident and yes the drunk and the **** agreed.

To be fair the caller said Tevez punched Barton on the back of the head and that Barton elbowed Tevez in his 'upper-body', nowhere near his neck or face, so he clearly hasn't ever seen the incident, either live or via a replay yet feels the need to make a point about it, he must be mentally ill, poor fella.

They won't because they can't unfortunately. Footballers contracts are 100% watertight. He will get paid also!

Pretty sure that's a water tight case for gross misconduct.

YES

they would have no problem sacking him anyone who brings his employer into that much disrepute could be dismissed

however they won't and for the same reasons we didn't after several major fvck ups by that cretin

they won't because he is an asset that has a value and if they sack him they give that asset away and some tosser like alladyce would snap him up on a free
Barton is apparently on £80k a week, joined QPR on a free transfer and has pretty much zero sell-on value. If QPR can get him off their books by sacking him for gross misconduct, they will; I'm absolutely certain of it.

They'd stand by him if it was just the elbow as that was a 'footballing incident' and obviously wouldn't be a sackable offence, but his admission that the rest of his actions were premeditated should be enough for them to get rid.

And I also think he got off lightly. The admission referred to above, plus his clear refusal to leave the pitch, could and should have seen an extra 4-5 games added to the total. What a scumbag, in every single sense of the word.

So you agree he was a cock then, no need to be fair to someone who was talking shite . As for the other two i think they just rabbit on instinctively without thinking.

OTT imo, it's not like he killed anyone or even threw a full bloodied punch at someone. I still think he's a wanker though.

How do you work out that it's OTT ?
Elbow on Tevez, straight red, second red of season so 3 games +1= 4 games
Assault on Aguero, straight red, 3rd red of season so 3 games + 2 = 5 games
Headbutt at Kompany, straight red, 4th red of season so 3 games + hearing = 3 games.
4+5+3=12

That is lenient as it does not take into account 3 of those incidents occurred in the same game, Barton's previous or anything that should have been added from the hearing, which effectively fined him £75k and warned him of his future conduct.

How is any of that OTT ?

What are the chances that his 1st game back is against city?!
1 in 19.
They'll be much longer than that if he's playing in The Championship.

Fernandes will, if he's got any bollocks, terminate Barton's contract for gross misconduct. Talk of him attracting a decent transfer fee is grossly exaggerated. This latest episode, alongside Barton's ordinary form last season, will see to that. In fact there is an argument that QPR's best move from a financial point of view would be to terminate Barton's contract and sue him for any loss in value to the club as a result of this incident. Given Barton's comments after the game about the calculated nature of this series of attacks I reckon that course of action would have a reasonable chance of success.

When did he say this?

It´s on his twitter account.
Yeah, I know, but when?

Was this part of his rant immediately after the game or is it in response to his ban? Surely even he isn't that daft!!
